now that i'm waiting for my Serbu Super Shorty (Remington 870).  I have a few questions...

Can I use slugs, bean bags, rubber rockets or sabots in the gun or just regular birdshot and buckshot?

What accessories are out there for the SSS?

You can use in it whatever you want...it's a cyl. bore.

You can ruin it with a shell holder or accentuate your concealed carry with a holster...that's about it for accessories.

Yes- all GTG. I added a rubber cover to the FVG. I used thin bicycle grip rubber that I cut to size. It is thin enough that it still works with the VFG folded up. I also added a Houge Tamer grip that has a slot for a sling attachment....

That's the birdhead's grip from Speedfeed...... that is SOOO much more comfortable to shoot than the pistol grip.

These are on my short list of wants.

Just need to find someone close who has one I can shoot.

While the SSSs are nice, IMHO they are way over priced.  I had this 8" Mossy built for $300 +$5 A.O.W. Tax.  I have put over 3K rounds down the pipe.  The Pachmayr Vindicator all-rubber grip takes out the wrist trauma.

cool looking super shorty's.  i had shopped around a little bit and was looking to convert a cheap shotgun, but i couldn't find one that was cheap enough to make it cost effective, so i just got a SSS.  i can't wait to test it out!

The bird's head is nice.  Really no problem shooting slugs and 00 buck with this setup.

I agree with you.  I have always wanted one, but $775 for a chopped down Remington 870 is just ridiculous.

Thanks.  I am assuming that the shotgun is a SBS Remington 870?

If it doesn't have a stock, it could be an AOW.  Same $200 to make by an individual, but only $5 to transfer an AOW.

I put a Hague Tamer grip on mine and a Mesa 4rd shell carrier on it. I keep it in a LaRue discrete case.

I bought it here in the EE a few years ago. I was also told they show up on ebay from time to time.

I was really disappointed with it.  My hand wasn't very secure on it when I shot and it was just more comfortable using a Normal pistol grip.  Perhaps that is because I compare it to the hogue tamer pistol grip.  It is the best one on the market IMO
