[ARCHIVED THREAD] - despising of a redgesteted D.D.

I am having my 37mm launcher redgestered as a d.d. on form 1. And waiting on the paperwork to come back now.
I am wondering what to do with it if I no longer want it or damage it beyond reasonable repair, or if it gets stolen.

Once it's an NFA firearm, you will be required to notify ATF if the firearm is ever lost it stolen. If it is damaged or you want to return it to Title I status, then you need only return it to Title I configuration. You should notify NFA Branch the DD has been reverted as such, but it is not a requirement.
