Wow that is surprising! What are those boys going to do now? Should quell the arguing in these forums.

They DID own Chrysler for awhile but Chrysler is not located in GA nor do they have anything to do with this forum. Does Trent drive a Chrysler?

I am shocked and disappointed. I don't know that they deserved it. I think they were bought because noone else could and someone needed to be acquired.

The writing has been on the wall for awhile. It is a good product fit. I think things are going to get really good for consumers really soon. |

Yeah, definitely get better. Buyers of those products won't be hated for defending the BS from the owners and there won't be any stupid "contests" put on by Cerberus.
|

Nothing. It already "went on".
Anyone in need of hiring a self-taught machinist? :-P |

It's not hard. It may not be the best idea. And, this is more fun for those of us who "get it".
|
|
Well I can't find anything on google. Are you going to tell us or are you having too much fun feeling special? |
|
Ttagging this till I can talk with some folks in the know on wednesday to see if its happening or not.
|
|
Um, you ARE talking with some "folks in the know" whereas these other boys you want go visit at their shack may not be able to "confirm nor deny anything".
Good luck with that. Let me know what you find out. |
|
Quoted: Ttagging this till I can talk with some folks in the know on wednesday to see if its happening or not. The owner called and told me personally. Doesn't get anymore in the know than that. |
|
Ah, but you hadn't said so so noone had anyone to listen to.
Know you know |

Quoted: Anyone gonna get a Cerberus tattoo? No but I think I remember when they owned Chrysler they did a test where they ran another brand's comparable vehicle at 300 mph until it burned up. You know, just to show you it couldn't do that and that theirs can probably get you to 300mph. |

Mine came over the phone. mine too, about 4 hours ago. |

What does this mean for those of us that were about to pull the trigger on a couple of cans in the next 2 weeks?

Maybe it means there will be a delay due to a handover but then again, you may get it quicker because if someone can afford $40M, they can afford to get their products out in a reasonable amount of time.

My Jeep from that era is completely made of inconel inside and it runs. It's unbelievable. I bet if not inconel, it wouldn't run. |

Meh, it's sorta old tradeshow aisle blather ...
... someone obviously couldn't keep a secret. |

... someone obviously couldn't keep a secret. This has been rumored about for a couple of months... but yep someone couldn't help himself....bragging like a high school student. Wonder if this will help get product out the door....or do those working there have to think about whether or not they are going to have a job soon? Seeing what Cerberus have done in the past e.g. Cobb, production could get moved to another state. One thing though, maybe no more online BS from those clowns. |
|
No kidding. Maybe Cerberus can ramp up production on some flash hiders!
|
|
Yep. That's what I was saying. I doubt anyone in the company as it exists today will have a job. They probably don't care though.
|
|
So I'm guessing Cerberus bought a suppressor manufacturing company? Am I ACcurate in that assumption?

Thanks Mark. That says a whole lotta nuttin :-/ I'm sorry, just tryin' to follow this thread's theme. |

Oh ok. Well you're butthurt you didn't get to break the news first so go ahead and do it, since nothing's really been said.

But heck, I did say awhile back that through yet-to-be-announced sales/mergers that we'd see who may not have planned well for the coming slow-down. Don't know if that applies here or not ... but it's obvious they were shopping themselves around. |

They were? They were doomed by their own accords if anything. Cerberus bought them because they needed this product, didn't they? They had NOONE else to buy. Who could they have bought? I can't think of one.

ETA - Just hope the New England brains of the outfit gets his fair share. As far as I could tell, he did pretty much run the show. |

No, I'm thinking they needed something, anything to acquire to fill this niche and certain other companies just weren't what they needed or weren't available due to size, popularity, technology, etc.
Was there an order they couldn't fill until it was under control of the big boys? |
