I just installed one on a SAKO 2 weeks ago.
This pic shows an AR-30, but the SAKO just has different threads.  It was recently independently tested at 138 db, using Black Hills ammo. Groups size was less than 1/2" at 100 yards, and as I recall, about 1" at 300 yards. Doug SRT arms |

We have been devolping a .338 silencer for a foreign military contract for the last year. We are building extras and will sell them on the civilian market sometimes this year.

737Shark is making a run of 338 ti/inconel cans. I've heard his 308 can and it's very quiet!!!

Soundtech makes an excellent can for the Lapua, with or without recoil reduction. Quiet and very accurate. I've shot the one with recoil reduction and it feels like a 243.

Wow that AI is awesome. I have an McMillan that is crazy accurate and only have a .308 AI.
Update on the AAC .338 can -- it is in production now and they will ship fairly soon. Only about a dozen extras were made over the military contract, and two or three are still unsold. There is no guarantee that another production run will happen before the military places their second order. So far they just got them for ~20% of their .338 Super Magnums. |
