I've wanted the CZ for quite some time and have plenty of Russian 7.62x39 to use.  I already have a USP45 and just think the HK45 would be a cool addition (and easier to handle).  I can get either for a little over $700 but I'm ocd about deals and this $200 rebate has me thinking the HK would be a better one.  I've always kinda thought the CZ was a nice rifle but no way worth as much as it has gone for over the last few years.  So who has some experience with one or the other (or both) and would I be a fool to pay for the CZ when it could be cheaper next year while the HK45 is never $700 again?

$50 mags make me not want hk pistols.

Is the HK45 a v1?  I didn't like mine, with a thumbs forward high grip the safety lever would always recoil against my shooting hand thumb joint.

Had to get a lower grip to shoot it comfortably, but what's the point of that?  Defeats the whole low bore axis argument.

You do have a good point about price.  Buy the HK45, list it for $850 and some fanboi will trip over himself to buy it.

I've owned a CZ527 carbine in .223, and it was a hell of a lot of fun to shoot, and extremely accurate, too. I tried scoping it, but had the most fun with it by mounting an RDS on the scope rail sold by D.I.P.

I've got an HK USP and I've shot my buddy's HK45, I prefer my USP. Maybe cause it's got a higher round count and has 'broken in' more, and the +2 round count is a plus for me. But both are close enough I'd have no desire to own one AND the other. Like you I have a ton of 7.62x39 stockpiled and I wouldn't hesitate to add a bolt action CZ to my collection. Or split the difference and buy a CZ 97B, I've got one of those also and they're sweet pistols.

Just picked up a 527 Mannlicher in 223.  I've been looking for one for two years. Haven't shot it yet (effing rain)  but the more I look at it the more impressed I am.

Sell the usp brick and get both

But if you want to hold on to it gets the HK now......the rebate is a great deal, take the rebate money and put it towards the CZ later

See post above mine for wisdom.

I like my HK45 so much it turned me into an HK guy, I even like the usp's.
The cz is nice, but pricey for a bolt action carbine--which is OK.   Hk is better deal now and the CZ may be later.

Apparently lots of people do.  I could only find one on gunbroker and it was more money than what I paid at the big box store.
