Archived [ARCHIVED THREAD] - Cerakote over Cerakote suppressor?

Would like to have my AAC 762-SD can refinished to a bronze or DD FDE color. It's one of the newer ones that came cerakoted from AAC in matte black.

I'm a bit concerned about having it coated again. Do I have any options here or SOL? Can the factory cerakote be blasted off?

Any applicator would be able to do that. The existing cerakote would be dealt with during prep.

As Cats had stated. The original finish would be dealt with. Our process is to plug both ends and sand blast. Then once it's a blank canvas we'd apply the new coating and let it cure.

That's what I was thinking. Just didn't know how easy it was to prep or remove existing cerakote.
