Situation:
I have a home-based FFL (01, not SOT or Class III). Last year I purchased a Barrett M107A1 from a gentleman out of state and it came with a Barrett QDL. I discovered that I was able to acquire the QDL through my FFL on a Form 4 but could not do it electronically, at least not at the time. It took a little over a year but finally got approved and the suppressor is now in my possession. I have a buyer in Louisiana wishing to purchase the suppressor from me.

Question:
How can I sell the suppressor to an individual in another state? *Assuming* I will need to transfer it to a Louisiana SOT dealer on a Form 4 and then he can do the normal purchase process to acquire it from them, but would appreciate any advise to help me understand or simplify the process.

That is correct, paper form 4 to the dealer in LA, $200 tax, wait for transfer (usually quicker to a dealer, last couple I did took about 2 months), then dealer there transfers it to buyer there.
