OK guys, here goes.

First I'm not smart, so if I can do it you can. Go to the BATFE website Click on Eforms and create an account. No pictures here because if you can get an account on ARFcom you know what to do. After that login to the Eform subsection.
You will see a page that looks like this.

Scroll or mouse wheel or however your computers works until you get to the Form 1. On my Mac it's a click and drag.

Click on the SOB. You will be greeted with this. Click Next.

This is the next screen you'll see. Time to start filling out stuff.

Click the "NO FFL" box. Under Licenesee enter your trust name. Trade Name leave blank. Fill in the street address on your trust. When you get to the Zip Code, enter it, the click  away and the County and State fields will self populate, select your City, enter your Phone and Email and hit Next. Now we are at the Line Item screen. Click add Firearm.

You'll get a popup that looks like this.

For a Form1 suppressor,or an 80% lower type "Form 1" or "FMI" into the Manufactures name box. For a SBR just type in the Manufacturers name. When selecting model and caliber here use what's stamped on the lower for model. If your lower is marked Multi DONT SELECT MULTI AS CALIBER. The ATF wants and actual value here so pic whatever cal of upper your going to put on it first. Once the stamp comes back your lower is a SBR and the caliber at this point no longer matters. Finish by clicking Verify Manufacturer. If building a SBR from an 80% lower on a supressor you get to make up your own model number and serial number. Remember though these will need to be engraved along with your full Trust name, City, and State. The only abbreviations that should be used in your emgraving should be CAL for caliber, MOD for model, and the standard two letter abbreviation for your state.

In the fist drop down select Short Barreled Rifle or Silencer, whichever you are filling the form out for. If you select SBR a new field will come up. Just select your manufacturer. You can see i filled this out for a 10/22 so i selected Sturm Ruger.  Now add in all the other info you need. Model is easy. Caliber for my was 22 and as unit of measurement i used INCHES. Length of Barrel, OAL and Serial number? You know what to do In the description box type in Short Barreled Rifle, or Silencer if that's what you are building. In the Next box I always put "For All Legal Reasons". Click Next.
That popup should close and you will see this.

Time to upload your PDF trust. Try and make it a small file size. The BATF wants it a certain file size which i forget at the moment but mine is 2.6mb and I've never had a problem with it. In the Document type field selce trust. In the Description Type in  "My Trust Name Trust" and click Add. Now you get to this screen.

Here you are going to click Certify and the the Pay button. A new popup will come up. enter your info and click next. Then another box will come up. enter your info and Click the box to agree to payment. Then it takes you back to the last screen after you close this popup.

Now you click Sign and Submit. Enter the password for your Login and hit enter.
Time to play the waiting game.

This is just a quick and dirty guide to get you through a form1. It's really easy and as long as you click Save in the upper left corner very once in a while things should work out. If the website hangs or you get an error you can try clicking Save again, closing the popup with the error and trying again, or logging out and back in to continue. If I've missed anything major let me know. But really, its that easy, just keep in mind this is a .gov website so its going to be a little slow processing things.

With my last few I didn't get emailed either. I just saved the stamps as PDFs to all my devices.

If I'm doing an SBR lower (300 blackout) and the factory receiver marking is Multi, I list 300 on my forms.
Do I need to have Cal 300 engraved on my lower along with the other required information trust, city, state?

I go ahead and engrave the caliber to match the approved form just so I don't need to worry about the barrel being marked or readily visible...

Seem crazy to have CAL - MULTI and CAL - 300BO on the other.
That's raises another question I'm sure I can dig and find but since you guys responded so quickly what is the norm for 300 blackout.  Do mgf's list it as CAL-300BO or 300 Blackout, other?

Thanks Gents

Disapproved.

Wants Cert of Trust.  The lawyer that drew up my trust says it is not part of the submission but I'd guess it is just easier to submit.

Anything I should know about resubmitting?  I added the docs, but did not see an actual resubmit button to hit.

So I just submitted my first Eform 1.  Followed the directions to a T.  Now I wondering whats the deal with this Schedule A?  My trust was done by NFALawyers.com and on the last page shows that I have $10.00 in my trust.  Am I supposed to add the SBR lower to the trust with an "assignment of Property" form before I uploaded it?  Or do I add that firearm once its approved?

For clarification...I uploaded a 9 page document that was signed and notarized that I received from NFALawyers.com.  I made no additions or changes other than signing it and having it notorized

When I view the PDF of the form, the questions are not answered on the second page.  There is no where in this thread or the application that drives me to answer these questions.

Did I miss something or is this not required?

Thanks.

PDF of the paper form? Does that page have to do with CLEO signature and finger prints? Those are not needed/used when efiling. BigWaylon will probably know for sure. I'm just a hack at this.

i am in the process of finalizing eforms form 1 to do a sbr.  I have a trust and have uploaded that doc in the small format to fit the ATF size limit, along with photos of the lower receiver with a clear view of the serial number, model, etc.

question is, on my scanned trust document, it is hard to see "seal" marking from the notary work.  the signatures and everything are all crystal but the embossed seal is hard to see.

just wanted to know if this will be an issue before I submit and render my $200 for the tax stamp.

anyone had any success in making the seal marking more visible in your copies?

thanks for any help.

ETA:
efiled form1 today, 8/24/15, to chop one of my LWRC's down to 10.5 and tax paid.
waiting game begins.

Is model now a required field for Form 1 cans? I filled out my application according to the guide but it shows an error stating that model is a required field. Just wanted to clarify before submitting in order to avoid a possible disapproval.

Do you engrave the model "N/A" or just the serial number?

I just had trust written up and after reading through this thread I'm thinking I might need to change the name of it. Does it matter if you name your trust "Trust Pinywoods" instead of "Pinywoods Trust"? I thought it was clever the other way now I'm second guessing my cleverness. Maybe I should change the name just to save myself the trouble later. I was planning on getting it notarized Monday.

I cant say for sure but you may want to change it. Might not be worth it to have it kicked back for a silly reason, although someone did get a SBR stamp back with "zombies" for the reason he was building it.

So what do you keep with your NFA item?  Is there something to print out? No stamp?

I want the option to mount additional upper receivers on my SBR. When I'm filling in my form 1 eform should I list all the potential upper combinations I want to use? What if I put a 8.5" upper on an SBR registered with a 12.5" barrel?  Sorry, probably asked and answered, bear with me.

No. Just put the caliber/length of the one you'll put on the lower first. Doesn't matter how it's configured after it's made.

Here is what ATF mailed me finally:

Yes, additional configurations may be utilized with a registered SBR.  We recommend you direct a notification of the additional descriptions to the NFA Branch in writing to be associated with the file after approval.

Well, after waiting 130 days just got rejected.  I believe I screwed up by adding multiple SBRs to the same application.  Why the hell would they allow multiple if it is going to get rejected.  Might have something else messed up but most everything looked good.

I haven't heard anything about a reason though.  No emails, no calls and no notes in the rejected e-forms.

Any way to rectify this situation without having to start all over?    Anyone I can call or email?

Thanks,

You can resubmit and send the old and new control numbers to Ted Clutter. You still have to pay again, but shouldn't have to wait much longer.

Thanks for the info.  When submitting the form 1 originally months ago the above message was no where to be found.  I looked through all the pages of the application form and didn't see anything added, but I just tried to triple check and it looks like the site is down.  Can't log in at all now.

Is there a phone number or email address for Ted Clutter?  Otherwise I will just call Gary and find out what is up.

Thanks very much for your response!!!

How long does it take for the submission to get a control number?  It's been two months and mine doesn't have one.
