Dealer received form 4 back from ATF yesterday, on the 11th...dealer forgot to complete form 4- left off everything except make, model and serial #.
So what would have been my approval date, most likely, was four months.
Now I'll be waiting on it getting back to the examiner...

As long as the paperwork gets back soon, you should get your stamp about a week to 10 days out, you don't go to the back of the line.

I had to play with the filters to tease this out, but there is ONE "Form 1 individual e-File" entry in that data, in February of 2015.  How that worked, I don't know, since eFile says that individuals cannot use eFile...

I think you're right about the glut of trust filings, even though trusts are still getting approved.  I got a trust SBR approved during the "they're really digging into trust applications" period, so maybe it's all wind and "playing to the base" politics.

The timing of approvals is directly related to where the NFA Branch focuses at the moment. We have seen efiled Form 1s approved in two weeks or less, Form 4 trusts in a month or so, Form 3s in a week. It's all relative to the flavor of the week...

I believe that recording has been in place for some time.  Some forms are getting approved in less time, some far more.  There's no single rule for any application.

I'very been averaging 45 days for form 1 and 4s since July submissions. Had a few approvals take 30 days to get stamp, others have been 5 days to receive stamps. Waiting on a stamp for a form 1 approved 18 November currently. Hoping to have my pending socom 556 from 2 November by the middle of december.

I called my dealer yesterday to get an update, if any, since the errors were corrected and sent back 3 weeks ago. He said the form 4 was in. I don't know when it actually arrived, but I'm thinking it was probably Monday, Nov 30, or Tues Dec 1.

SO including form being sent back with error and corrected, 4 1/2 months for it...

I must be special!

Efile:    two form 1s. For sbr....12/24/15

Approved: 12/29/15

Both of these had been disapproved around May of this year due to a long issue I have had with the trust name(name was filled out wrong but they had already approved two that way). I finally got around to filing them again. At the same time I have had issue with a dealer filing a form 4. I emailed the ATF about the dealer caused disapproval on Christmas day...I check my email and had two approvals and an email from Mr. Clutter this morning.
