The old thread hit the limit - let's start a new one. Please keep discussion OUT of the thread so it lives longer. Thanks.

I did my first Eform Form 1 today. It took forever to get it done. The site was very slow today. I submitted the paperwork for my suppressor the old fashioned way last March. I hope to have it back before the SBR stamp comes in. As long as I get them both I will be happy. Anyway, here's the info:

I was asking my dealer a few months back about it and they told my that my form 4 was the first that they had filled out since getting their class III/SOT. So I was beginning to think that my screwed up form was sitting in an ignored basket somewhere at the ATF. |

I just pick up my can today. My dealer never called me when he received my forms. The only way that I knew it was approved because I called the NFA branch and asked about the status. As soon as I hung up the phone I hauled ass over to my dealer. He gave me some half-hearted excuse about it getting overlooked while his shop was in the process of a move...he didn't even really apologize, just kind of brushed off his mistake. I guess the real point I'm trying to make is that we all know to just stand-by and wait because the process is long and it doesn't help anyone involved to constantly check the status. However, if the timeline it getting close don't hesitate to call, after all it is YOUR property and you have every right to know its status. Also I'll never spend a dime in that store again, and I'll tell everyone I know the same. CM |

It's like they have all of the examiners with their hands in e files. This just takes time away from them working on the paper forms and delays them longer. This sucks! They should have one or two designated people for e file only.
