Just called for an update. Was told they no longer use "pending". The only date they really give out now is the received date, and it's 9-12 months for approval.

Form 4 - Suppressors (for Texas)

263-days (8.7-months) = Total time from Forms Sent to Stamp & Suppressors Received
235-days = Partial time of Check Cashed to Approved
163-days = NFATracker.com prediction was but reality turned out to be 100-days longer

Form 1 - Short-Barrel Rifle (SBR)

299-Days (10-months) = Total time from Form Sent to Approved

Form 1 for SBR had one problem letter received on 2013-07-08 requesting shortening of the official model name on the form "CQB MRP Defender 2000 Piston" to only "Defender 2000" that is the actual text that's engraved by LMT on the AR lower so that will add to the delay.

Along with the current government shutdown which has added a few week delay and has probably created a back-log since the Dealer and Manufacturer Form 3s will have to be processed first. I guess that the ATF NFA won't want to piss off the companies with money that could be turned into legal pressure on changing or eliminating the bureaucracy system currently in place if it affect's the gun maker's and seller's bottom lines.

The original ATF NFA Examiner was Sara Jones but I've read on TheTrustAboutGuns.com NFA Form Processing Update for Texas blog entry that she's been promoted out of that position to a Specialist position and now Jason Bowers is the new examiner who signed my forms.

Updated 2013-10-24: I added the info for the SureFire SOCOM762-RC-FDE suppressor that I purchased on 2013-10-21 to go along with my 300 AAC Blackout 10.5" barrel for my LMT AR that was also ordered for my upcoming SBR approval. With the upcoming changes to the BATFE's process for transfers to a Trusts and the impending requirement of CLEO sign-off for all "responsible persons" of a Trust I wanted to secure my .30 caliber suppressor now before it becomes difficult if not impossible to in my county where the CLEO won't sign. Total cost is $1,995 from SilencerShop.com might be a fraction of the future costs if the changes happen.

Updated 2013-10-25: Called ATF NFA branch, was told that SBR wait time is 15-months right now.

Updated 2013-11-13: Called ATF NFA branch, was told SBR was approved yesterday, 2013-11-12.

Updated 2014-01-29: My SureFire SOCOM762RC-FDE suppressor purchased from SilencerShop.com and eFiled has been approved in 96-days (3-months) and I have the electronic PDF copy of the ATF Form 4 with the transparent generic tax stamp on it.

I was told back in September I would have my stamp within 90 days of second pending date and that it was in its final stage of approval. When I called today they informed me they no longer do second pending and that I will likely have my stamp in February.

Do they just make these times up?
