Had to make cross sticks for a muzzle loading class I'm teaching.  It's part of the curriculum and I have never used cross sticks in my life.  

So, after school it was off to the hardware store for dowel rods and then Wally Welt for leather.  Then off to U-tube to find out what I'm doing.
