What would you recommend for a compact scope 10/22. I was looking for a 4 power to use at an Appleseed shoot, range will be 25 yards. I am not looking to spend a bunch of money.

Thanks in advance for the info

At 25 yards I would just use a microdot. Plenty of great options out there.

I've been wanting to try

Primary Arms 22lr

And

New Mueller APV

That Mueller looks interesting. I have the Mueller APV but its way to long for the application. I have seen some UTG and Truglo compact scopes that are more along the lines that I am looking at.

I picked up a Vortex 2-7x rimfire for my 10/22.

Very nice pics, thanks for posting. Looking for a scope that is shorter in length that looks kind of long. How much was that Vortex?

I grabbed a leupold vx-1 rimfire for less than $200 the other day. It is fairly compact, weighs only half a pound, and I like it a lot.

Fixed 4X or are variables on the table? Price range?

This in 2-7x Rimfire.  Or get the 4x Leupold Rimfire.

Also note that most Leupold scopes that are not Rimfire specific for parallax, can be modified for rimfire 50 yard parallax by unscrewing the front cap on the objective lens.  Behind that cap is a threaded ring that can be screwed in or out to adjust parallax.  IIRC screwing that ring counter-clockwise (out) reduces the parallax yardage.  It only takes a quarter turn or so.  That setting is all that separates the regular VX-1 and VX-2 scopes from their rimfire brothers.   That ring is just adjusted differently.

My wife won a vortex crossfire II 1-4 at a 3 gun match a couple years ago, nice little optic.. clear glass with nice adjustments.

Works really well for .22 matches on my m&p 22 rifle.

If small and light is your goal I suggest the Weaver Rimfire 4x28mm.  Part number is 849430

99% of the time I would say run away from this company, but the utg (Leapers) 3x9x32  "Bug Buster" is a nice little scope for the money. For your particular use, your not putting much demand on your optics.

That's a great scope and price. The Japanese make excellent optics.
