I have a fv-sr,  enjoy the gun, hate the stock! Does the TRR have any advantages over the fv besides the bbl length and the stock? I can buy a lnib TRR for less than $400 local to me, which after buying a Boyd's or rhineland arms stock, is what I'd have in my fv. So, better to keep and re-stock my fv, or bid it farewell and snag the TRR. And not having the threaded bbl is no biggie to me at the moment. And thank you very much for the responses!

The TRR...is that the one with all those retarded rails all over the receiver?
I have an FV-SR too, and replaced the stock with a Boyd's " rimfire hunter " before I even placed the bolt into the action. Mind you, you'll need to get a trigger guard & bottom metal also, in case you were unaware of this. All totalled, you're probably loking at $165 or so to restock it, but it's worth it (to me).

I believe the TRR-SR has all the goofy rails on the side. That's what I was thinkin $150-160 all told.

OK, I *almost* bought the model you're talking about, but the 16.5-inch threaded barrel of the FV-SR is what won me over.
Just so ya know, the stock I got from Boyd's was the sky laminate, and it looked like warmed-over shit when it arrived. The dye was very uneven between the left & right sides of the stock, and there were several spots where the dye didn't penetrate the wood at all. Disappointing to say the least, but I  figured "wtf" and painted the sumbitch, rather than deal with hassle of sending it back, etc. It fits well enough though, and the barrel is pretty generously floated.

Mine's in .17hmr,  btw.
