I’m looking for a new, high quality duty belt. It needs to be a very stiff nylon belt and will be fed through belt-loops, to support a belt mounted holster, mags and accessories. I previously used a 1.75” Wilderness instructors belt.
I like the quick attach/detach of a Cobra buckle and want to go that route. I do not want a riggers belt, as the riggers apparatus takes up space on the belt where I want to attach things.
There are a lot of choices. This is what I have found so far:
Ares Ranger, 1.5”, $90, webbing behind buckle

TYR Base, 2’’, $100, no webbing behind buckle (they have a D version that does)

First-Spear AGB, 1.75”, $62, no webbing behind buckle, plastic stiffer

Bushido Python, 1.75”, $85, no webbing behind buckle, plastic stiffer

Infidel Outer Cobra, 1.75”, $60, no webbing behind buckle, no plastic stiffer

SOE Cobra Duty, 1.5” , $65, many variations available

What are the pros and cons of the webbing extending behind the buckle?
Any recommendations?
