Unless I've come down with a case of the 'tard, I can't for the life of me find a 'Post pics of your plate carrier setup' thread...? I searched with all my team powers but couldn't find one?

If there is none, I will post mine up and start one- or does anyone know where it went? I coulda sworn I've seen one?

ETA: Not talking about chest rigs, or 'gear' in general. I'm talking about strictly plate carriers.

ETA2: One other person can't find one either; so that must mean this is none! THIS IS NOW A PLATE CARRIER THREAD!

––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––––

Please BE SURE to post specs if you join in! Including Plates inside!

With chest rig attached:

Chest rig detached:

Velocity Systems LWPC in MC with two triple-curve plates by RMR tactical inside.

Chest rig is clipped on using the Velocity Systems 'Swift Clip' Attachment system. Chest rig is a TT mini-mav with a triple mag shingle, and two modded Eagle FB pistol mag pouches on each side (modded to fit double stack glock mags). Pouch in front is a MSM Admin pouch.

I LOVE this PC because I can not only have a chest rig attached, but also use it under clothing as a low-pro carrier.

Mainly used for solo range sessions on pp. Haven't taken any carbine classes or anything with it, but would like to if I can find one close enough.

Thinking of getting another one and running it slick. Just because. I have a BFG Plateminus but don't really care for it. Its for sale actually. or trade.

I am really liking the placard paired with the LWPC. Just enough rig to get it done, nothing that I dont need in my current role as Citizen.

This entire rig only weighs 18.6lbs with the carrier, two Medium SAPI BZ special threat plates with kevlar backers, medium side kevlar panels, 4 loaded 28rd PMAGs, 2 x tqs, surefire G2x, Israeli and combat gauze.  And if we swap out the BZ plates and backers for Velocity P34 plates it is still at a manageable 20.5lb with the same setup.

Still plenty of room in the pouches for a few additional items BUT...   I am of the opinion that civ dudes kit up to carry wayyy more shit than they really need (mission driven equipment in the mil and LE profession notwithstanding).  Just because there is a pouch or a section of PALS webbing it doesnt necessarily indicate the need to cram it full or hang another pouch off of it.   A carrier with a good chest rig (MRC GEN IV, EGL VOCR, D3, placard etc) with a well thought out requirement based load beats the 40lb behemoth that is fantasy at best.  But I digress....it is a pic thread!

I love it! Works great for a KISS type carrier. Only thing not awesome about it is the shoulder straps are a little narrow for me (6'1"-2" and 190) with a size Medium, it kinda digs in into my shoulders just outside of my neck after several hours in it with the super heavy AR500 I have in it. If it had lighter plates in it I bet it would be a non issue.

Nice setup.  I use the LBT insert as well, and it works great.  It was discussed in this thread. For me, I found it works better once you remove the SwiftClip buckles.  The Mayflower insert is cheaper, and I would've been happy with it, but at the time I was looking it was not available anywhere.  With an LBT sale, I paid around $29 before shipping for the insert, whereas now SKD sells the Mayflower insert for $28.

It does, I run the pocket clip through the molle channel on the back so it's pretty secure while still being quick to access. Only thing I worry about is the longterm durability of the ten-speed elastic material, but time will tell.

Yes I bought both of my plates from them and when you sign up to their email you get 25% off.  When they showed p they were packaged perfectly and feel great in the plate carrier, and up against my body. I would highly recommended  them to everyone. Mike at App training has them also and he is a site sponsor or or seller or what ever they are called.  Great stuff  here is what I got

Midwest only makes shooters cut Guadian plates. A lot of people have shooters cut in both the front and back plate pockets.

How did you get the 25% off? I signed up for their e-mail and didn't get a code or any kind of prompt for a discount.

Finally got the Highcom 4SAS-7 shooters multi curve plates in my TAG carrier.  I'll echo Tango and tell you the plates are very comfortable to fit.

Yes, its UCP.  But UCP nylon is cheap.  Queue the trolling

UCP is cheap and so is OD spray paint. I like rust oleum stuff. All my UCP got a dusting and works a lot better.

I'm honestly not looking for concealment. If I need to put my plate carrier on shit has already hit the fan and I'm looking to make sure I don't catch a round in the chest/back. Same thing for training.
