Unless I've come down with a case of the 'tard, I can't for the life of me find a 'Post pics of your plate carrier setup' thread...? I searched with all my team powers but couldn't find one?
If there is none, I will post mine up and start one- or does anyone know where it went? I coulda sworn I've seen one? ETA: Not talking about chest rigs, or 'gear' in general. I'm talking about strictly plate carriers. ETA2: One other person can't find one either; so that must mean this is none! Including Plates inside! With chest rig attached: 
Chest rig detached: 
Velocity Systems LWPC in MC with two triple-curve plates by RMR tactical inside. Chest rig is clipped on using the Velocity Systems 'Swift Clip' Attachment system. Chest rig is a TT mini-mav with a triple mag shingle, and two modded Eagle FB pistol mag pouches on each side (modded to fit double stack glock mags). Pouch in front is a MSM Admin pouch. I LOVE this PC because I can not only have a chest rig attached, but also use it under clothing as a low-pro carrier. |

Just got this so I am not even close to having it set up the way I need to. Shellback Banshee with full soft armor. HSP-D3 Chest Rig that will be attached with Down Range Gear Chest Rig/ Armor Interface Kit. I have 40 rnd Magpul mags, but I think they will be too tall to be practical sl they will be carried in the weapons.
Any help is appreciated. Don |

Yes, I know about the changes to attach the HSP without additional parts. However the Down Range Gear kit give you a much better mount with six mount points and shock cord on the sided that I think keep the HSP more firmly connected. Seems cheap for what it does.

I recently picked up some armor, and was wondering if anyone would give me any more Data on it. As far as I can tell this was issued to Air Force Security guards.
The vest says it is IIIA. It's got large kevlar panels in it. 
Plates say they are IV. Multiple hit protection when used with IIIA. #1 Is this stuff crap, or did I do ok? #2 should I buy a stand alone Plate carrier, and toss on these plates? I'm concerned about the heat in the summer. |

Here the latest gear setup which I'm pretty damn happy with! FIXED
Basics of the setup are: Line1: TyrTactical Gunfighter Belt, HSGI Universal Drop with GCode (Glock 19/x300), with 2 HSGI Double Decker Tacos (running with RCS moduloader sub-load). Plate Carrier: HSGI Weesatch w/ Shoulder Pads, Level IV Ceradyne 10x12 ceramics, Eagle Admin Pouch, HSGI Bleeder, used a Voodoo Tactical AR pouch to hold my CAT tourniquet, got a MOLLE attachment for the Surefire helmet light (red/white LED), Spyderco Manix2 knife, HSGI hydration pouch. The beauty of the Weesatch is the integrated pouches, I can go light with 4 mags, or really load up hard with 10 plus 2 on the belt. The front panel is slick for comfort while prone. Rifle 1: BCM 16 inch, Lightweight mid-length, Surefire SOCOM muzzle break, KAC micro BUIS, XPS-2 Eotech, BCM grip, VTAC MK2 sling, custom Patriot Brown/Multicam cerakote job. If you gotta wear a face mask, you can do a lot better than a black ski mask/balaclava/anything. Namely, going with something earth toned to start with. It blends a lot better with respect and consideration towards camouflage, and you won't look like a fuckin' idiot. Nice gear otherwise. |

Thank you for bringing this back. Now please guys, my favorite thread on arf was locked last week, and then my 5th favorite thread (this one). I almost had a meltdown. Keep the bullshit out please. There's some useful info and knowledgeable people that contribute here, lets not fuck it all up with some silliness again.
Crye JPC for my contribution. Mainly used for solo range sessions on pp. Haven't taken any carbine classes or anything with it, but would like to if I can find one close enough. Thinking of getting another one and running it slick. Just because. I have a BFG Plateminus but don't really care for it. Its for sale actually. or trade.
