As the title states show your war belt and first line setups complete with component rundowns and even costs. There are alot of seperate threads on this but no one thread with everybodies setups.

Two-thirds of the dudes I knew who were issued them with the M17 kit, including myself, threw them straight into the trash and just used the UBL/QLS rig that most of us already used with our Glock/Beretta rigs. Not saying they don’t work well for some, but few preferred them.

ETA: Joe, I love that spiritus pouch. How are you liking it? I’ve been meaning to order one.

The reason that *I* personally use the DFA/SLS is so I can mount additional items (baton, shotgun shells, or SAR knife) forward of the holster. If I didn't want or need that capability I would probably use the MHA. But the UBL is the cost effective option.

What's nice about the DFA/SLS is that it's super stable and rides at the same height as a a UBL.

I don't like the flexible loop at all. It's too flexible in my opinion. The rotating QR strap setup is better.

Maybe I missed it, but why not consider the 6354DO? It will save you $80-90.

Has anyone had a chance to try out the Kinetic Consulting / Flat Line Fiber Co dump pouch yet? I'm really intrigued by the fact that it can mount under a rifle mag pouch, effectively taking up zero belt space.

I don't typically go for the lighter material dump pouches, but I do like these 'zero real estate' ideas to help people manage space. Makes me think of the Snake Eater dump pouch.

I assume you’re talking about the Safariland holster?  The website says it doesn’t fit the G45.

ETA: I’m having a hard time figuring out the difference between the 6354DO and the 6390RDS 🤷🏻‍♂️

ETA 2: It looks like the 6354DO only fits gen 1-4 and 6390 fits gen 5. My g45 is a gen 5.

My G19 Gen 5 works just fine with my 6354 holsters. Ignore the missing extractor on the slide, I have another slide for my 19 (and 19x/45 in the next photos)

Thank you @Pleaforwar. I’ve also come across a 6395RDS-2832. It seems pretty much identical to the other holsters I’ve mentioned, but comes with a low ride UBL. I’m starting to think that, besides variations for what Safariland claims is differences for different generations of glocks, that the model numbers have more to do with the attachments that are included than anything else 🤷🏻‍♂️

I avoided a dedicated "war belt" for years preferring to build up from my CCW.  But I'm trying it out, had this set up for about 6 month now. New on top, old on bottom.  Still perfecting it.

Someone may come in and correct me, but I've seen the 6390 used more by LEO's, I'm guessing since it goes up to Level III retention. I've seen DOD users who are issued Glocks use the 6354 more often.

A friendly heads up, Primary Arms has the G17 6354DO in multicam and a QLS fork for $108.80 before shipping and tax. Not sure where you are in Texas but if you can just go pick it up even the better.

If it isn't cinched down anything mounted that low is going to fly out of the pouch when you start running.

It's 30% lighter and stiffer. Stu says I'm retarded for buying it because they're going to have a special Monday.

Also, the ends of the belt are much easier to deal with. They're thinner near the buckle and when you're sizing it for yourself it is easier to get the buckles off and on.

I just upgraded my belt after 15 years. A buddy of mine is going to rock my old school Jones Tactical  belt. I didn't need to replace it, but my inner geardo caught up with me.  I've got some HSGI and Wilder Tactical stuff hitting the house this week.  I think a lot of us here are just a weird subset of the population.

Love that pattern! It's nice to see the woodland look resurface lately. Are you looking for an IFAK to match? Are you going to have it on the small of your back? Obviously you are familiar with the popular options since you've been in this thread a long time. Is it just trying to find the Woodland pattern in something you like? Or just haven't decided on the actual pouch yet?

It's a combination of deciding between m81 or solid green. I'm looking for the smaller ones, but bigger then the bfg micro I have on my other belt.

I’m looking for a holster like that for a Glock 45 with TRL7.

Most of my safarilsnd holsters for the Glock 17 will not work with the G45. It sits too deep and wobbles around even with an X300

@StevenH

I just tried my G19.5 with a XC1 in the G34 6354 and while it locks in, there is plenty of play.

As far as I am aware Safariland doesn't make ALS holsters that specifically work with compact lights. While they will lock, I doubt you'll ever get a snug fit.

If you want a OWB holster with retention, specifically for a G45 and a TLR7, you can check out the following:

Red River Tactical Holsters

Dara Holsters

Alien Gear

I don't know about the quality of above holsters, but they all claim to fit the TLR-7. Sorry I couldn't be much more assistance.

Safariland 6xxx holsters index off of the ejection port cut in the slide. A 19/19x/45/17/34 will all sit equally in a holster designed for a 34. If you want to remove play, tighten the retention screw and install a foam pad on the light port.

I will second this. I go between a 19, 17, and 34 and my 34+x300 holster works for all of them.

If it's made for a light it works a lot better if the light is mounted. Indexing is a little goofy without one, but if I recall it will index and lock-in all the same, whether you are using the light or not.

There must be a problem with my 6390RDS then. Because my Glock 45 & 19 sit about 1/4 inch deeper into the holster than a Glock 17 does. I’ll take some pics this weekend

With my holster, Unless the WML bottoms out, insertion depth is determined by the muzzle hitting the brl plug. ALS only stops rearward travel not forward travel.

Here is a Glock17MOS w X300U-B in my holster

Attachment Attached File

Attachment Attached File

It’s latched in place allowing a full master grip and the mag release can be accessed with the gun in the holster if needed.

When I put a Glock 19 or 45 with an x300 in the same holster the mag release is completely inside the holster. Appears the dept of inserting with the shorter slide is determined only by the face of the WML bottoming out because the muzzle cannot reach the brl stop?

My 4” 1911 with x300 sits to deep as well.

I typically keep a tlr7 on it anyways so built it up with a toy block and Velcro.

Drilled some holes to straighten the drop on the holster. IMO the SLS needs a straight drop.
