Edit - Disregard. I just said screw it and bought a Trijicon RMR instead.



Just got a brand new FNX-45 Tactical and am considering a Vortex Viper to put on it.

A few questions-

I'm reading conflicting reports on what people had to do to mount the Viper to their FNX-45 Tactical.

Some are saying they had to order different screws, and others are saying they had to order a shim to attach the Viper to their slide.

No mention of what screws were used in regard to mounting the Viper with the shim.

Not sure why a shim would be needed? The one people are using literally looks as thin as a sheet of paper....

Any info is greatly appreciated!
