I can't speak to any "non-military" transitionals. But as far as the 10k military transitionals go, an example with all original parts and honest wear--even very little original finish remaining--should bring over $3k. Maybe more if you find the right buyer, since very few unmolested examples are very hard to find.
Having the original finish purposefully removed, however, would hurt that value. Manually removing the finish frequently rounds edges, dulls markings, etc.
