Well I can give a report on the M1911 A1 in 9mm. The M1911 A1 in 9mm feels just like any other pistol that I have held, felt like the same feel when I held a P220 or a M1911 in .45 ACP. It has a light recoil, less than the Beretta model 8000 Cougar that I fired that day also. Very good accuracy, I was firing the pistol at around 20 and 40 yards, was hitting in the black each time (remember the pistol will always be more accurate than the user can ever hope to be, so if you don't have good accuracy its normally you).
Its a very smooth and light trigger pull like most pistols in SA, actually I only had to basically tap the trigger and it would go off. There was one problem with the Hogue wrap around hand grips though, they would not allow you to full insert the magazine, I had to push the mag with my finger and then check to see if it was seated.
The magazines are pretty easy to find, nothing that a good magazine/internet order can't solve (usually they can be found cheaper there anyway).
