It'll shoot 32, 32 H&R Mag and some other caliber

A 327 Federal revolver will fire 32 S&W, 32 S&W Long, 32 H&R Magnum,and 327 Federal cartridges.

I believe they'll also chamber and fire .32 ACP, which is semi-rimmed. Accuracy will probably be less than stellar.

The accuracy should be just fine, but you may occasionally experience a weak primer strike. The .327 is an awesome cartridge just short of magical. It gives 357 mag energy with less recoil and the potential for an added round in revolvers. Being that you can shoot four other fairly common clambering a of the 32 family I see no reason not to buy one.

And knowing is half the battle!

Also if Ruger would moon clip their DA 327's it would be stellar, still thinking about sending mine off.

I was just saying this the other day.

.327 Federal would be neat in a lever action, like a modern .32-20.

.327 federal mag is a very underrated caliber/revolver

Great concept. Perfect step up from .22. It can shoot light little rabbit fart loads all the way up to respectable self defense rounds.

327 Federal in a rife would compare favorably to a 30 Carbine.

The .327 out of a 5.5" Blackhawk can exceed the .30 Carbine out of a 7.5" with very similar bullet weights. The .327 out of a proper rifle would have much better ballistics than the .30 carb.

Someone with Quickload please run numbers on 327 federal with 100gr bullets in 7 and 10" barrels.

ETA: That is especially impressive considering the cylinder gap.

I would be just as happy if Ruger came out with a 327 lcrx in 3"-4" barrel and adj sights like they did on the 38 (ive emailed ruger about this varient as I did years ago about the lcr 327).  On the moon clips, I found some where on the web (months ago) that the 357 sp101 and 357 lcr take the same moonclip.  So naturally I got to wondering about the 327 sp101 and 327 lcr.  If it is a fact about the 357 working in both revolvers than I'm willing to bet the 327 sp101 moonclip will fit the lcr 327 as well.  Here is a link to TK Custom 327 moonclips and he does moonclip machining too. TK Custom  This would be great for power levels below the 32 h&r mag because the 32 acp is more readily available to me than the 32 s&w or 32 long.

I just ordered a Ruger Single Seven in .327 the other day. I didn't even know Ruger made them until I ran across it on their website a few weeks ago. I'm looking forward to it, got the dies and bullets, just need the brass and the gun. A Single-Six sized gun sounds like a near perfect revolver platform for that caliber. Should make a nice trail/kit or plinking gun.

I do have the LCR in 327 Federal, I did not like the short Houge boot grip so I bought Houge Piranha grips.  Big mistake, the 327 Federal Mag rounds just punished me.  Now I have Houge grips like those on the LCRx and all is better.  The Piranha grips were great when shooting 32 H&R Magnum and those grips are now on my 22 LR LCR.  I wanted a strong caliber six shooter and with the 327 Federal, and I got it.

Well the Single action guns have a great trigger.  Double actions are chacterized by a long trigger pull, you are cocking the internal hammer, rotating the cylinder and finally releasing the hammer.  All LCR's have a long smooth, non-stacking trigger pull.  They are not target pistols but I am pretty accurate with mine.

Do any of these 327's have a good trigger?

The Ruger seemed to have a long travel. I understand it is a pocket gun, but I'm spoiled when it comes to triggers.

My S&W has a pretty good trigger for a J-Frame. Not amazing, but not bad.
