Said I wasn't gonna buy another gun for awhile but just couldn't pass up the price. Ordered it from Shooters Plus (best price I could find btw) and picked it up from my lgs this morning. Almost ordered the cerakote but decided on the stainless. About to give her a good bath and then go put a few rounds through her.

Please welcome the newest addition to the family, our new Colt 1911 Rail Gun in Stainless!

Very nice, OP!

I second the S&A magwells - I have the arched version on my CRG, and I love it.

Not to derail this thread, but are these Colt rail guns not as robust as the USMC rail gun?  From what I understand, the first USMC version used the same slide that these use, which cracked under hard use.  Colt fixed the problem by doing the forward slide serrations differently and beefed up other areas.  Any truth to this?

The New CRG (2015 models) come with the new beefier rail. The one the USMC spec'ed out for the M45.
