I just got a PPS, and really like it. The sort of quality one thinks of when you hear 'Walther.'

My wife's got a P22, and it's the sort of quality one thinks of when you hear 'airsoft', IMHO.

Is there a list of which Walthers are/were built by which division within Walther? I've decided to treat them like two entirely different companies....

I'm also hearing the new CCP will be an Umarex gun...? That's disappointing.

Yeah, that reason alone is why I will not buy one

Also the PK 380 and the new PPK/S .22.

In essence, all of Walther's most problematic offerings are made by Umarex.

I've got an Umarex HK MP5-22 that's outstanding, and from posts here there are others who feel the same. But I hear nothing good about anything else Umarex makes. And to most buyers, I don't think they distinguish that a P22 is Umarex, not Walther. I don't expect a P22 to be as good a quality as my PPS but when it becomes a jam-o-matic to a new buyer it's left a bad taste in their mouth for all Walther products, Same for the Sig Mosquito, if that's the first Sig you bought it'd probably be your last.  I know price is a factor, it's not fair to compare a $250 P22 or Mosquito to a $350-$400 Ruger .22 or S&W MP-22. But that's little consolation when the zinc slide on your 6 month old pistol breaks in half.

My new Colt Government Model .22 is a 'Walther/Umarex' made gun. Works fine
