I know rossi has always been a cheap gun, I had an old 357 and it was... OK. I know they later became Braztec and at the lasr gun show they said "made by taurus" right on the gun. Are these guns as shitty as Taurus's?

From my experience yes. I am basing it on how many send out I have had to do with the Rossi line. The only one I haven't had to do was a Rossi .44 Mag but the frame and everything looked like a Taurus and not a typical rossi

Rossi is now a Taurus.

I have a Braztech model 92 16" levergun  in stainless.  It is just as nice as any of them were, only with the bullshit safety.  I removed and plugged that.

My Rossi Rio Grande 45/70 needed extensive smithing to run correctly.

I personally wouldn't own a Rossi or a Taurus!

I have owned 2x model 94s, 1x model 66, I still own a .45 colt total titanium, and 2x 1911s all from taurus. The 94s had crap triggers. The rest were/are good to go.

I had a .38 Rossi and still have a 5 shot .44 Spc.
Both were great guns. Never a problem.
Both were also old Brazilian made, long before Taurus came into it.

Taurus and Rossi have both going to Hell with the quality.

I bought my 46103 .357mag revolver about 2 years ago and it has served me well. The DA trigger pull is heavy as hell and the lockup isn't as solid as my other revolvers (S&W's) but for the price I'd say it's a good buy. As far as I have seen the only real carry over from Taurus is the name and safety lock. Rossi revolvers still use the hammer mounted firing pin vs. Taurus transfer bar setup.
