Excellent test video.
The thing about the copper hollowpoints is they penetrate a little less but expand into nice sharp uniform petals. Also as the gentleman in the video mentions, in some places like California you have to use lead-free bullets.
It would be interesting to see this test done using the new Corbon DPX bullet in .40. Corbon has added external serrations to a new bullet to make its petals thicker and longer. The 9mm version appears to expand deeper than this, to 13 inches and expands to .85. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZaEoF31mr58 I would guess the .40 caliber DPX expands even more.
For woods I'd consider some of the solid copper projectiles for more penetration, but I'm not sure ... perhaps the expansion on mountain lions, dogs and smaller animals would be more effective than the deeper penetration of the non-expanding copper bullets.
Also another benefit to these rounds is when you have to handle your ammunition you do not get lead dust on your hands. Some of us have to occasionally unload our guns without special soap to wash the lead off of our hands.
