I'm partial to Blade-Tech.  Never tried the others, so my opinion my be skewed.

I like my Blade-tech pretty well but I would like to try out a Scorpion.

tried the bladtech and the UCR

i stuck w/ the UCR; the scorpion is just a copy of the UCR, so i'd expect similar results, H/W, the deasntis does have replaceable clips, which is a big + imo and that would be the one i'd probably opt for

I ordered the UCR for my G-19.  Has not arrived yet.  According to the site, wait time is currently about 8 weeks (I have about 5 to go on that timeline).  If you are eligible, they offer a pretty good LEO/Military discount.

Comp-tac CTAC. I've owned blade-tech products, and they just don't compare to comp-tac.

UCR without a doubt. Most comfortable kydex IWB holster I've owned. I have had them for 3 of my carry guns.

I like the scopion, though one of the clips broke, and I modified it to accept Comp tac J clips.  That works a little better and is more low-profile.

ETA:  for daily carry, i use the COMPTAC CTAC with C Clips, but the trainer's belt doesn't work as well with the c clips, so the DeSantis is for casual carry while wearing cargo pants/shorts with the trainers type belts.

I have Blade Tech's general Glock holster and carry 3-4 o'clock. No problems.  Cost about $50 to get it to my door.

I carry my G19 all over and can conceal under a T-shirt, and have regularly driven 3-4 hours with it on my hip with no trouble.

what's the retention level on the desantis scorpion like?

when i emailed them about it, they said there is no retention... which i find very hard to believe.  ha.

and thanks again, for all the input.

I know you specified that you would prefer the holster not be leather but, in my opinion, I think you are really limiting yourself by not considering a good leather rig.

I've worn all kinds of holsters made of leather, kydex, nylon, and other plastic type stuff and in the long run I have never found a kydex concealment holster that has proved anywhere near as comfortable or as workable as a leather equivalent.

Although leather, I would strongly recommend you also take a good look at products from Alessi, Bulman, Sparks, etc.

while i understand that it's somewhat limiting, i feel strongly about it.

I've used the Blade-Tech IWB since last April.  With baggy jeans or khakis, it's fine, but I don't like how the barrel of my XD40 Service extends past the end of the holster and rides against my hip.

Unfortunately, holsters must be tried to determine what works for YOU personally.  I've got two Blade-Techs: the previously mentioned IWB and their Stingray OWB, which is a great holster, but you need a cover garment.  I've also got a great Tucker Gunleather HF-1 OWB with matching double mag carrier and belt.  The quality is exceptional as is comfort, but again, you need a cover garment.

I finally said the hell with it and plunked down the $102 for a real Milt Sparks Versa Max 2 IWB.  From all accounts, it's supposed to be the most comfortable IWB available and just beats a Milt Sparks Summer Special by which all others are judged.  I'll let you know how it works for me as they're currently experiencing a 20 to 26 week delivery window and I ordered last June.

yeah, i realize i need to try them, to really know what's best/most suited for me.  and since i'll need to order these in, i figured i'd try to narrow it down and get a good idea, first.

I have my G23 riding in a Comp tac MTAC right now, and it is very comfortable and almost melts into my side, jsut feels like I have a REALLY heavy Black Berry on my belt.  I do have a Blade Tach IWB in route, I use one of them for my P229R DAK and like the way it rides.  I vote either Comp Tac or Blade tech.

MTAC was the ticket for me.  The UCR was nice just didn't fit my build very well.  I have a UCR if you don't feel like waiting 8 weeks.  If this is some kind of violation somebody let me know and I'll retract it.

i tried to contact you via IM, but i guess it's turned off...

what is the ucr for?  g19/23?  what retention level is it?  right/left hand, and etc?

Its for the 19, right hand, medium retention (seems closet to the description for light retention according to his website, but paperwork says med.)  $40 shipped if that sounds fair.

what size are the belt clips on it?

Comptac CTAC +1 FTW !

Adjustable cant, adjustable retention, and a very slim profile since the belt clips are not on the holster itself.

The belt is a 1 1/2" wilderness.  It has the full sweatguard.

yeah, that sounds fair.  the only problem is that i think i'm moving this weekend (might be delayed/cancelled, since i have a broken hand... not sure i'll be able to), so i think i'll wait until i know where i need it sent to, before finalizing.

and thanks for all the suggestions, everyone.
