Looking for an IWB holster (preferably hybrid) for a Smith & Wesson J frame, 442 to be specific. I've tried CrossBreed and don't like them so that's right out. Found a DeSantis Intruder online for cheap but I'm not too impressed. What else it out there?

Its what I use for my M&P 340.

Works great.

Might also check eBay.  People sell used holsters on there CHEAP.

I have way too many holster because of them.  And substantially better deals for barely used.

Desantis Flex-tuk is what I'm looking at for mine. Offset clip to keep thickness down.

I really like my F.I.S.T K1 in ultra-thin kydex. When this one wears out I'm replacing it with the version with a sweat guard.

I also have a Garrity Gunleather that has the clip offset from the cylinder (over the trigger area) that is nice also.

The FIST gets worn a little bit more but they both get worn regularly AIWB.

Cheers!
-JC

ETA: The Garrity is called the IN-CONSPICUOUS I.W.B..

FIST Holsters K1 is the best I've found for appendix.

I use them for G43, Shield, J frames, LCR

Well, I've been running the Intruder and it's turned out to be pretty good. Of course, I did also order a Milt Sparks VM2 a few weeks ago...

J-frame ?  . . . front pocket nemesis rig

If I'm gonna IWB, it's gonna be bigger than a J-frame.

might as well step up to a glock19/23, M&P, CZ P-07, etc.

I use a SideGuard IWB, tuckable for my 637. I've found it to be very comfortable.

I carry a 442 in a Galco Tuck -n-go. I normally prefer kydex, but you can't beat this holster for comfort. I actually run with it IWB very comfortably. Fairly inexpensive too(~$25). They make it with a J-Hook, as well as standard belt clips, though I think the two might have different names.

El Paso Saddlery make some good stuff for IWB. I carry my 649 AIWB in their ez-carry holster. Don't even know it is there.

I recently got a blade-tech tuckable AIWB for my 340. It is probably the best AIWB I've ever had.
