Updated my WASR recently.  I wanted to change it up to resemble the rifles carried by current Russian Border Guards who are still issued '47s.  Got some US Made KVAR furniture, the Izhmash Molot style PG, new Russian Sling (OTK21, 1976r), and some surplus E German flip up night sights(They still work great and don't rattle).  I picked up the Bakelite mags from Classic.

Another pic of a WASR dressed as a Russian:

My WASR-10/63

-CAA buffer tube adapter
-Magpul MOE Carbine Stock
-Aluminum Quadrail forend
-Magpul AFG
-Houge Grip
-Tapco G2 Trigger group
-NC star green laser

Still need to get a sling I actually like. And I'm contemplating swapping out the CAA buffer for a Mil Spec Vltor aluminum one instead.

That actually looks really nice.  Plans on putting a brake on it?  Do you not like the CAA buffer?

I picked up a Yugo O-PAP a few months ago and I got the bug for another AK. This WASR-10 followed me home and I couldn't be more happy about it. Front sight is straight, mags fit as tight as I could ask for, bolt is nice and smooth.

Bought this as a screw build off the EE, it is a G built on an NDS reciver.

I will be replacing the screws with rivets soon when a friend of mine lends me his tools, already bought the rivets. In the mean time I cleaned it up for a more AKM look. Polish handguards and the Romy stock were all refinished. The entire gun was detail cleaned and I coated it with Norrels Semi Gloss Black Moly Resin.

My two Romanians, a Draco and a WASR-10:

I'm really trying to get the WASR-10 to look like an authentic AKM.  I bought the correct lower bulged handguard, but I think I need to sand them all down, and apply some red stain, and then laquer.  Also, I need to cut off the welded thread protector and put a slant comp on it.  I'd rather have a flash hider though, did the AKM ever use the RPK style flash hider?

Update. I rattle canned mine with "cast iron" engine paint.

Here's my recent production WASR-10.  It came with light colored solid wood furniture that I didn't like, so I put on a Romanian laminate stock and Bulgarian AK-47 Bakelite hand guards.  It may not be correct but I like how it turned out.
