Can anybody recommend and quality AK-74 with a fixed stock? I was looking at getting an SGL-31, but I obviously waited too long, and the only other -74 that I am familiar with the quality of is the SLR-105, but I don't really want the side folder stock. So, now I am on the hunt for another option.

The SLR-105 is a fixed stock AK74.  The SLR-104 is the folding stock version.  

Yep, your right. My mistake. All I've seen for sale anywhere are the -104's, but for some reason I had -105 stuck in my head when I wrote the OP.

A lot of the big distributors still have the Arsenal SGL rifles in stock.  Any gun dealer can get one for you.

If you want $1k+ Arsenals are great.  Sub $1k (NIB) I would definitely recommend the BR-74 from Atlantic Firearms.  Its an AK-74 from James River Armory made exclusively for Atlantic.  It comes with combloc red furniture. And straight out of the box, no sighting necessary at 30m and beyond to at least double that (i didnt measure after my original sighting in.) On point every shot with 7n6.

I love mine.  there was no cant whatsoever. Everything was perfect on this rifle.  This one does differ from the ones directly on the JRA site itself.

K-Var is out of stock, and Atlantic has bumped up theprice of the SGL-31 to almost $1500. Most other dealers that still have them are doing the same. More than I'm willing to pay for an AK.
