Finished up an AK-63D build. Just need to refinish it and it's done. Also bent two AMD-65 flats, one for a mint original barrel kit I picked up last month, and one for an AK-63D kit I'm going to build into a side folder. View Quote You have to show us those when you finish. Are you going to SBR the AMD65? As for me, I sold my SA85M with the front end kit for making it an AK63 and I bought a SIG 556R. I'm very happy with that deal. I grew weary of the whole AK thing but strangely still love the AMD65. The SIG came with a micro red-dot, but I put a SIG CP-4 4X scope on it. I put a Strike 2 rear sight rail on the AMD65 so I could use the micro dot on it. Sighted it in for 50 yd zero and the rail remained securely attached (Loctite). The SIG sighted in at 100 with Golden Tiger pretty good but I left my damn sandbags at home and had to improvise a rest out of my range bag. It sucked, so I have to go back and do it right, but at least I'm close enough that I put the rifle 'in-service' if a need arose that required it. |

I gave up on trying to find a trench-art Yugo stock to match my hand guards, so instead I went looking for an M70AB2 to get around my little problem. I ended paying too much for one because it already had a nice set of trench-art hand guards, which does nothing to solve my problem. That of course required me to pick up a matching-numbers bayonet , a sling, and some paracord. Next on the list is a new set of tritium vials for the night sights.
I won't even get into how many Yugo mags or cases of x39 I've bought in the last month! |

I ended up using a Romy G kit as the donor kit for the side folder build. Not SBRing the AMD, I used an AK Buolder extended brake to get over 16". Test fired and they all work, the AMD is a blast to shoot. Now just gotta media blast them, and moly resin them. I'll post some pics when I get them all finished. |

bought black box wolf instead of MC; honestly thought they were the same
SB47 brace, adapter, and a JP brake en route for my mini Draco. gonna pick up a four piece brake too; looks like it almost eliminates flash in youtube videos. |

Finally cleaned my beater ak.
It had been quite a while. Bought a bunch of ruskie ammo. |

Today, I zeroed in my Yugo M70AB2 at 100 yards. Does this count as AK related?

Quoted: I am in the process of rust bluing one of my Khybers. View Quote OOOO, post pics and a how-to, if possible. I swapped out the OEM stock on my WASR for a black "NATO" length stock from Arsenal. I prefer the longer LOP. Apart from that? I've shot it, bought some mags/ammo, inventoried mags/ ammo (which didn't take nearly as long as I'd hoped). I aslo spent some time staring at my budget/bank statement trying to make an RS Regulate optic mount and an Aimpoint PRO happen but so far no luck. Weddings and honeymoons be 'spensive, yo. |

bought:
1 AES-10B 1 O-PAP 3 Bakelite mags from Aim Surplus 3 Romanian Drum mags from J&G Sales my wallet and i are gonna need some time apart |

I have an eform 1 in for my SLR-107CR, and am about to put one in for my SLR-104UR.
Also, just got a triangle stock for the Krink-to-be. |

Caved and bought an OPAP. My Yugo addiction is getting out of hand....
|
|
Got my Form 1 back in June for a SLR-106UR conversion and got that finished in July.
Filed a Form 1 last week for a SLR-104UR conversion. Shipped my old SAR-1 out to have a 24mm FSB put on. I have a virgin Russian RPK stock set sitting on my work table that needs fit to my AES-10B so that's probably next. I hate fitting wood stocks. |

Bought a used Maadi found dirty in a lgs for $300. They didn't know what it was someone painted it black with spray paint. Not pretty but thanks to the power of the internet on the phone I determined it is a 94 model and now 922R compliant. Just have to get the barrel threaded and zeroed. Pictures later.

Trading mags, bought a set of Lee 5.45 reloading dies and a 5.45 bullet resizing die - since cheap ammo is gone

|
Mounted a MagPul MOE rail to my AMD-65 handguard and installed the Magpul RVG and a MagPul pistol grip. Feels much better now.
|
|
Added an UltiMAK rail to my old reliable Maadi MISR-SA, along with a PA MD-06 microdot and a US PALM pistol grip.
Got an East German adjustable rear sight leaf that I'm thinking about installing, but this rifle is dead on for windage and elevation, so I reckon I'll just leave it alone for now. I'm sorting through my mountain of AK stuff and finding shit I didn't know I still had. It's kinda like Communist Christmas! Found twenty Chinese bakelites stashed in green canvas five mag Chicom pouches the other day, and found my Bosnian Fleur de Lis mag. Life is good. |

Can't have too many AKs. Gonna need a bigger garbage can, though... |
