I'm sure, at some point, we've all had warm hands (support hand barehanded or gloved) while rapid firing our AR's. Yes, wearing (thicker) gloves and utilizing polymer hand guards/rail panels (on your MLok/Keymod handguard) may decrease some heat transfer, especially near the gas block and muzzle.
I have a thought though:
Why not utilize high temp (engine) paint internally and/or externally on your handguard? And/Or even the barrel itself?
It may provide some additional protection from heat transfer to your hands. Any thoughts? Has someone done this here yet?
