Roto-Zip work for routing 80% lowers?

I'm just getting into the idea of getting a jig, a couple of 80% lowers, and making a couple of toys.

I haven't decided which jigset to go with, but it's pretty clear that the "router" types are superior to the "drill-only" types.

Rather than buy a router, has anyone used (or decided not to use) a Roto-Zip-type tool for this? Or do I need a heavier-duty router?

The roto-zip does not have enough depth adjustment and min speed is 15K which is too fast. You don't need a big HD router. The best I've found is the Ridgid R24012. But any variable speed trim router with a 1/4" collet will work.

Since someone else might run across this at some point in the future, let me mention that Maxxxxxxxxxxxx is a tech rep for Modulus (maker of one of the jigsets that I'm considering), so this can be considered the definitive answer.
