This would be an excellent set up for guys (like Me) who use a 1" Laser like the LAS/TAC with pressure pad switch on the VFG, mounted on the top rail (laser), avoiding "beam" interference with a Front Flip Up BUIS in the "Up" position. Kind of like an inexpensive Laser Devices OTAL....and because it's a LaRue, I'm sure it will hold 100% POA/ POI after taking on and off.

When is it commercially available?

Tack

Personally I could not stand the mount based on the initial pictures...

Then it hit me....Try it with the right light....

Now simply love the things....Awesome Mount!

Seriously, Nice Job Mark, Excellent Mount.

Any idea what the weight will be?
Link Posted: 1/29/2006 11:44:48 AM EDT
[#13]
2.2 oz

From a practical point of view the cut away/material removal in the drop section of the mount makes the overall package relatively light.

It looks heavier that is actually is.

These are awesome....various sizes of rings will have all kinds of flash light manufactures able to produce
all kinds of tactical lights or adapt already available ones..

Probably be able to run C and D cell versions if a person really wanted to...;)

flash'o'holics dream come true...

Another stroke of genius..from LRT

Here is a design pic of the double version of the new mount.  You can run your laser in one ring with a tape switch and your light the other ring with a clickie tailcap.

The first run of the single version is in the anodizing process now.  They should be ready in two weeks or less.

What size rings are going to be available for the laser mount?

Has anyone tried a Pentagon X2 or X3? Will it fit the one inch ring version?

Any guess on the price for the double version?

I believe the 607, which is the double mount, retails for $139 or so.

The really great thing about these new LaRue mounts is that you can get the different sizes of rings from LaRue at $25 a pair. Say you start out with an executive series sized body and get the .830" rings.....decide later on that you want a different light with a 1" sized body, all you need to order are the rings. Good foresight on LaRue's end of things.

My LT 606 came in the BBT yesterday. And yes, I do now hear angels singing!

I haven't had time to take pictures yet, but my Pentagon X3-HA went in like a glove. And would you believe it fit on my LaRue 7.0 like it was made for it!

I really like the locking throw lever.

The thing is mounted on the three-o-clock rail and it puts the light right where it needs to be. I still may experiment with it on the nine-o-clock rail, but for now its just fine.

What a great mount. Hopefully the weather will be nice and I'll get home while the sun is up to take some pictures.

Nice pics, thanks for sharing. The light mounts in a good position, I really like how it looks on the rifle.

The double mount looks good, but I wonder if it adds to much weight on one side of the rifle. Hopefully someone can post pics and thoughts on the double mount.

Will one of these work with a TD bipod?  Will there be enough clearence between the mount and the legs of the bipod?

Finally have some time to post pics of the new LaRue double stack mount. This mount is absolutely awesome. It puts the Pentagon light in perfect position to be activated with your thumb. LaRue sent the wrong size rings for the top mount so I haven't mounted the laser yet. I have to give LaRue's great customer service credit though. I called them Friday afternoon and they said they would overnight the the new ones to me, no charge along with some more freebies. I should have them on Monday. So without further ado....................
