Is it possible to get one without the mount?

That is an awesome deal.  That is the same mount as my CompM4 and I really like it.  I really dig the integrated kill-flash as well.

This seems like a really good deal.  I have been planning on purchasing one in the next few days after looking for the best deal, and this is by far the best I have found.  But I have to ask, because I am ignorant of the AAFES program.  Are these reconditioned or are these brand new optics?  Sorry to have to ask.  Thanks.

AAFES is the company that runs the PX/BX on Air Force and Army bases.  It's a department store for active duty/retired and dependants.  There are many companies that have special products and deals meant for military members that go through AAFES to make sure that they find their targeted audience.  New.

Why is this here and not on EE?

I never see these in AAFES.  I wonder where they sell them in the AAFES system as a search on the AAFES website doesn't show them.

They may have been a limited item.

I ordered one yesterday. Even if you put a realistic value on the mount and ARD(like $100 for the both of them) you are well under $400 for a NV compatible Aimpoint. The QRPII mounts are quite substantial and completely serviceable. Some will complain that the sights are 4 minute instead of 2 min. but I prefer the 4 minute, so this was a no brainer for me.

Thanks SWFA this is a good deal.

Is that the right mount height to co-witness with rear iron flip up and front fixed post gas block?

ive been had mine ordered it a couple weeks ago, great setup, since I needed a mount, im glad I got this cuz it comes with one the ARD is just a bonus.  As a flip-up it is much more useful than the ARD I had on my m68 in combat, lets face it you really never will need an ARD in the states and flipping out of the way is super easy.  shipped fast too.  Dont get this if you have a larue, bobro, troy, DD mount already

Email said that mine shipped today.  Can't wait to get it...I'm located in Texas so it shouldn't take long via USPS

Question on the rubber cover for it...the only ones I can find say that they will only fit the Comp M3 and Comp ML3.  Does anyone know if these will fit this model or if there is one specifically designed for the M2?

Thanks!

I saw them today at the Ft.Hood Military Clothing Sales Store. Probably a different ordering system/supply chain.

I got mine today. the ARD is a useless pos as far as my uses go, I would much rather had a jacket for it. The mount is very nice and secure, $477 well spent.

This was available at BX stores a while back, I saw them for sale and kept going back to get one, but couldn't drop the cash.
Then they went on clearance for 50% off...

I bought all four.

This is still a great deal. I used and abused mine for two years downrange, and aside from the scratches and rubs on the outside,
I have never had to re-zero. And this is after repeatedly taking them off and putting them back on.

I love my CompM2's!

But can't you just remove the mount and put it in your LaRue (or other mount)? I think this is misleading, unless I'm missing something. It's still a great deal even if  you have some other mount.

okay well I want to pull the trigger on this but I am hesitating because of the absolute co-witness... I have an F marked front sight base with a ARMS #40 BUIS.  How will this work with this Aimpoint?

Works fine, I have the same setup.
You can always sell the mount and replace it with a LaRue if the absolute co-witness bothers you.

I got mine last week and then matched it up with a 5X Magnifier I bought from Primary Arms. I have dealt with SWFA in the past and have always had a high opinion of them.

I just ordered one the other day for 419+ shipping should have it tomorrow according to UPS tracking.  NY marksman how is the eye releif on your 5x mag from primary?  Is the glass pretty decent?  How about the mount, solid built?
Link Posted: 4/8/2010 3:37:22 PM EDT
[#41]
The mount on the Aimpoint is rock solid. The eye relieif on the Magnifier is not exactly what I would like but it's acceptable.

I meant the magnifier mount, did it come from primary and is it solid?  It is a twist off mount right?
