Anyone know the scoop on these?  The price is right and the picture on the site shows green followers.

they are made by D&H formerly Labelle but I dont know if they are NIW they could be used

Are they as good as the Labelle's--i.e. teflon coating, followers, etc.?  According to Ken from Tapco, they are NIW ((Assaultweb post from Tapco).

I'll post with the low-down.

I hope they have a bunch! I could use a few more mags but I can't do it until I get  another payday. I spent way too much this weekend.

I think these are the same ones I used when I was in the Corps. If so, they are just like any other GI AR mag.

Used or new, I dont care, I gotta come up with the cash to order a dozen, at least.

tooly, tapco is a good company to do business with. I have only had one thing I bought from them that wasnt to my satisfaction, a G1 flash suppressor that was advertised as excellent condition, but when I got it it was lacking the spring that it needs to hold it to the G1 barrel. I returned it, they made good.

I'd imagine that they, and all the other fairly large distributors, are probably jumping thru their collective asses right now, trying to update websites/catalogs, and keep up with orders. Some confusion is to be expected, ya know?

I dont work for TAPCO, I dont get paid to advertise for them or say good things about them, or anything like that. I have been happy with ordering from them though. Wish they werent out of stock on these mags already. Why the hell do deals always come along when I'm broke?

I am impressed TAPCO1.  I only heard of your company today through a referral, and although the mags are backordered, I received an email and then saw you on here.  If they are in the shape you say I will be happy to send people to you.

Bill, thank you for taking the time to post that note.

If we place a backorder would we still get a Teflon coated, LEO marked magazine?

All/Bill:

Sorry to ask, but if the ban goes back into place, will the LEO only be a problem?

I am concerned that it could be....  if so...
Is the LEO only marking stamped on the base plate?
Is it changeable?
Would it be possible to change the base plate to one with a post 9/14/04 date?

When the ban was in effect rifles that could prove legal manufacture were valued higher that part guns without proof of assembly prior to 9/14/94.....  I am interested in buying 20-30 so saving some money on each one with the Tapco price is VERY attractive.... but I also do not want to paint myself into a corner... buying a future head ache.

Thanks,

Blair

Not to worry.

LEO mag bodies were stamped with LEO markings AND a date code on the body.  If, God forbid, another ban goes into effect, the date would show when the mag was manufactured.

Didn't Tapco use to have a AR15.com discount code?  I thought I remembered one being posted in their industry forum. I can't seem to find it, so I could be wrong, or expired.

I just ordered a couple. Do not see how you can go wrong at that price.
Hell, if nothing else, I'll fill'em with molten lead and use them as paperweights to remind me of this glorious week when Klinton's bad bit the dust!!!!!

FB,

We have used discount source codes in the past, but this $11.99 is the best price on these mags.

Thanks, I know this is a Very Good price and have some on BackOrder. A "Thought Bomb" poped up in my brain as I was reading this post.

I got some a while back and have been using them for a few months.  They function well, as any other USGI.  I prefer the Teflon coating as they don't get marked and scratched as easily.  Here are some pictures for your anticipated enjoyment.

Mine arrived today and they're perfect...just as nice as any other new mags I've received.  They didn't come in the wrapper but they are brand new .  The're identical to Brushdog's pictures above.

I ordered 4 Monday and got them today via USPS.  I will not post pictures because they are identical to the pictures of the ones in brushdog's post.   They are undoubtably new.  The only thing that I haven't seen posted yet is that mine are marked 11 03 on the left side - I'm assuming this is the date of manufacture in case there is another AWB.  Then these magazines will be Post1-Pre2-ban.

Edit:  No, I'm not a dink - I was typing too slowly and M4arc got his post in while I was typing the above.
