Ok I seem to be having an issue with finding the difference between the TAP bullet and the A-Max bullet.

I've read and re-read the ammo oracle and googled for the last 45 minutes.

Does anyone know if they are they the same bullet?

Thanks very much for your help.

Thanks gentlemen.  Much appreciated.

I found 40 boxes of Hornady  5.56 75 gr. Nato BTHP A-Max Superformance Match ammo in my ammo stash earlier today.

In that weight they aren't even close to being the same bullet.

8126N doesn't even use the same 75gr BTHP that other Hornady ammunition uses.

Depends on which TAP.

75gr 5.56 TAP is a T2 BTHP
75gr .223 TAP is a T1 BTHP
70gr .223 barrier TAP is a Gmax
60gr & 55gr .223 Urban TAP is a Vmax.
55gr .223 barrier TAP is a Gmax
