... If I'm not mistaken, all production 55 gr, FMJ (Military Ball) are of the boat-tail configuration

Remington 55gr FMJ in the green and white box is not. That is why I ask.

The $300/1000 deal OMC is offering arfcommers on the PMC is the best deal I have seen on quality, brass case ammo in a LONG, LONG TIME! Better take advantage of this guys!

I looked at the OMC site and I didn't see 1K of the PMC for $300. What am I missing? That's a great price!

This New PMC ammo

Lot no. 223A-0361. Purchased from OMC this past week.

Shot 3 boxes in 2 different rifles today, 20 rds in a Savage 10FP and 40 rds in a Remington 700SPS.

4 failures-to-fire in the 10FP and 4 failures-to-fire in the 700SPS. Good indents on the primers.

2 failed rds from the 10FP fired after the 2nd or 3rd strike and 1 failed rd from the 700SPS after the 3rd strike.

To check the rifle I later fired 20 rds of IMI .223 in the 10FP without any problem. This rifle and my friends 700 have never failed before in any way.

Anyone else?

I shot about 60 rounds of the OMC manufactured w/ Win brass. 55gr. No hard data, but shot as accurate or better than black hills 55gr, R-P 55gr, etc. No FTF etc.
