500 rounds through RRA 16" ...no problems.  Seems to be similar to Q3131 but...what do I know.

I have gone through somewhere around 5K of the GA canned heat without issue, with the exception of having had one case failure. I don't fault GA for this, I think it has more to do with the use of once (or more) fired cases...

The rifle below is a LMT 16" carbine with LMT Bolt and Carrier, on a BM lower...

I would continue to use it except for the fact I began to reload my own largely due to the rising cost of ammo...

Has anyone fired much of the lots that were priced at $190 per can of 1000 rounds?

I did for a few thousand of the 5000 I've shot of GA.

No problems with any of it, though the more recent stuff has had more mixed kinds of brass in it

I know my review is already up, but I wanted to add that I've been shooting it exclusively in the tactical rifle matches I've been shooting  since last summer and have not had any issues, and can hit the steel plates (10" plates) at 200 yds with my 16" FrankenCarbine on a fairly regular basis.

Going to the gun show this morning to pick up another can of it.

The down side right now is that it is just about as expensive as new ammo.

I shot 1500 rnds of the canned heat fmj in two days, no problems. I have seen pics of at least two different rifles that have had catastrophic failures while shooting that same load though. It was becoming such a concern that the training school I went to (Tactical Response) stopped carrying it IIRC.

Have used it since early 90's. The only commercially reloaded ammo I will buy.

Been through 1500 rounds of canned heat...Sabre upper, CMMG upper, and RRA uppers..no problems at all.  Been through 3000 rounds of .40, 9mm, .45 and 38/357...and no problem there either...great service too. v/r W

Used ~ 2000 rounds of the $170-$190 stuff.
2 case head separations causing nasty jams.
4-5 rounds I won't shoot bc of indentations in the case near the neck.
0 FTF

some rounds seemed a bit weaker and I got 5-6 FTE or double feed using a 14.5" midlength CMMG (well lubed) during a ~360 round shoot.
no FTE using 16" carbine gas.

I will use for practice only.  clearing double feeds is good practice.
also they threw in a round of 45 colt by accident in one can. I guess it looks like a 223?

For several years, I along with several others in my AO bought canned heat and used it exclusively. I don't have the numbers here in front of me, but I know in the past I made orders of 25k, 15k, and 13k rounds of assorted calibers. 9mm, .45, .40, .223, .308, .357. Until 2006 we experienced a <1% malfunction rate and were very satisfied. In our last order in 2006 we experienced multiple FTF's, bullets sinking in casings (223) and several squibs. In that time, the price also rose substantially and it was no longer economically viable to buy from them. Since that time we have moved on to other vendors. I cannot comment on their ammo since that time.

I ordered 800 rounds of the 55 gr. FMJ from Georgia arms.
It came delivered in the 100 rnd sealed packs.
I sighted in my AR at 5o yds. I noticed that I was getting terribly groups
Some where 4-5 in. I then examined the bullets and noticed that the tips appeared to be rounded off.
I contacted Georgia Arms and talked to Jeramy who was really helpfull.
He explained that they had several complaints out of the rounds that I had bought due to inferior bullets. He advised me to ship everything I had and they would replace it at no cost to me.
Since getting the ammo back I recieved 750 rnds of LC brass loaded with Hornady bullets.
All I can say is outfreakinstanding!!!!

Interesting...I bought some at the gun show this past w/e and tested them Sun noon. The groups were terrible compared w/ rather small groups from some Wolf I shot at the same time.

I'm not real pleased with the Canned Heat I purchased.  At 25 yards I had a 4" group that included a flyer that was 8" out.  This was not me..  I watched it hit low.

This round also scored the baffle in my suppressor.

10.5" LMT with a YHM Can.

In fact, it flat out sucked.  SS109 from the same weapon on the same day provided sub 1" at 25 yards.

Wow. I wonder if that was the batch of Canned Heat they were trying to sell at the gun show today for $210 per 500? Naturally I didn't buy any.

I've gone through about 5k rounds with only one failure, it just didn't go off.
That 5k was purchased 7 or 8 years ago, so I also can't comment on their current batches.

Grouping compared to factory ammo is not good at all, but still accurate enough to take out a zombie.

I probably won't buy anymore because their prices have gone up to much for me.

I have fired approximately 1,200 rounds of the Ga. Arms 5.56mm .55 gr. FMJ reloaded ammunition through my COLT HBAR with perfect function and excellent on target results.  There have been no negative issues at all.  Sincerely.  Bruce.

I have shot literally thousands of rds of their 168gr "Canned Heat" .308 match ammo through my NDM-86 Dragunovs. Never had a problem of any kind and accuracy was excellent (my best 3-shot ctc group at 100yds measured .24", my best 4-shot ctc at 100yds measured .44").

I Have gotten ALOT of the ammo spec'd for the Army shooting team for NRA matches in .45.

Tack driving stuff, never an issue out of an old Colt NM GM

i have used georgia arms and ammunition products for about 9 years - i have had 1 round, a 9mm HP Fail To Fire (jury is still out on wether or not the firing pin hit it hard wnough because i rechambered it and it fired), other than that i have used their products in .223, .308, 9mm, .357.

i believe they produce a very high quality product.

Worst ammo I've ever tried to fire. Multiple failures to feed, multiple dinged casings, atleast 15 out of 200rds that were questionable or completely untrustworthy to be fired. Had one double feed that resulted in a bullet being pushed down into a casing and powder getting all into the chamber and locking the bolt in place. A blown primer that ended up in my FCG and caused it to seize up. And I didn't even shoot 50rds. Oh and several bullets are not seated in the casings well also. IMO, complete junk.

Used it in a patrol rifle class. My self and a few had problems with blown primers. That being said, it's all I carry in my back up and my previous Dept. issued it. The .40 cal. + P load. It always worked fine.

223. 55gr FMJ - shot many thousands of rounds back when it was ~$150/thousand.  Started seeing the spiral crushed cases frequently, poor crimp (bullet would spin in case neck), blown primers.  I would inspect and cull 7-10 out of each thousand upon purchase.  I quit buying once pricing went up enough to make reloading cost effective.

10mm - 180 JHP's - this is the only ammo my 1006 has ever gagged on.  This batch was HOT.  Constant FTE's.

I have shot thousands upon thousands of rounds from Georgia Arms over the years... not one single problem of any kind... except backorders these days.

I shot ~100 rounds of their "Canned Heat" FMJ.
I had a case separate and had to use a cleaning rod to get it out.
Also, a good bit of the brass was dented around the neck.
It shot fine besides that but I will never purchase any of their reloads.

My buddy and I went in on a case of 9mm 115 gr.  Had a case head separation on my P6 that blew part of the wood grip off the left side and he had a case split in his PT92 that jammed the trigger up.  Will not use their ammo again.

a few cans over the years as they are local to me. I have had 1 primer blow out , It is not enough of a price difference that it once was between them and new ammo so i buy new .

Poll needs a minor problems no longer use choice

180 gr 10mm new brass, no trouble.
Bought 1k for the Starline brass.
I now reload that brass over and over.

I have shot close to 3500 rds of canned Heat through my Ar-15s. I have had some that was accurate and most was so-so. I have found dinged rounds and had some  problems with round not being seated properly. I would use it again but rather use other brands.. I do not believe that their prices are resonable as they used to be.

I got a 1,000 round "Canned Heat" of GA 55Gn FMJ.

I am using it in a 14.5" Bushmaster with an H2 buffer. I have fired 168 rounds of it so far without any stoppages. Subjectively recoil impulse feels the same as other commercial .223 spec ammo. Greater than Wolf & Lessor than M193.

bought a couple cans with a guy at work a while back.Fired a magazine though each gun and worked fine. Now when I took the can out to the range and shoot a bunch of it(or try to) I get jams from the bullet falling back into the case.Got 2 in one magazine and then got 5 in another magazine. That is when I decided to stop shooting that junk before I get a squib and then KB.Upper is a Colt HBar with a kit gun lower(buddy wanted to borrow an M16A1 style gun for a few days to play with some Vietnam vets he knows so I swapped my M16A1 upper onto my Hbar lower with A2 but stock). So it ain't a cheap upper.Never had any issues out of this setup with any other rounds.

I've gone through a couple hundred rounds of their 69 an 77 grain SMK .223 ammunition, and haven't had any problems.

With an 18" White Oak 1/7 barrel, I'm getting 1/2 to 3/4 MOA 5-shot groups from 100-200 yards.  This is using a bipod and sometimes an improvised rear rest for the buttstock.

Sometime within the next month, I plan on getting some chronograph data to append to this post.
