Anyone shot this stuff from academy?  I was thinking about getting some as blasting ammo for the farm at $2.88 a box.  I've run wolf ploy coat with no problems. What do ya'll think.

I think the Monarch is a private label for Academy stores, it looks like Brown Bear lacquered ammo from Russia, should be OK.

The lacquered ammo isn't as good as the poly coat stuff, but a lot of guys have used it with no problems.

Thanks for the answer.  I know my AK will eat up the 7.62x39 but was concerned about the AR.  I'll let everyone know how it goes.

Try it before you buy a lot. It worked well in one of my ARs but didn't in another.

I shoot it in my Mini-14, but not in my AR.  Chrono'd at 2970, on average.  No problems, and accuracy was no better and no worse than anything else that I have shot in my mini.

Monarch = Barnaul - Russian Steel cased ammo, with a lacquer coating.  Very simlilar quality to Wolf.
