We have gotten a lot of calls about offering the Tac-Sol upper with an SBX barrel.
Thanks to a picture here on arfcom I thought maybe we would try to get a group buy going with some free mags and other stuff in the deal what would you like to see in a group buy for these |
|
Need more details, Please. I checked your site but didn't find the SBX for an AR. Have you got a picture or link to the upper you're planning to offer?
Thanx SpecOps-13 |

I remember one member having one, redtazdog? Perhaps?
I'm interested in one, need to know price first. |

Tac-Sol made one custom for an AR15.com member
He posted some pictures of it and we have been getting calls ever since I was thinking of having Ar15.com laser engraved on them and have them numbered 1-50 thinking about including extras in the deal 3 magazine instead of 1 speed loader Tac-Sol Cap priced under 600.00 delivered total price not determined yet Tac sol is probably going to release these later in the year but it would be at higher prices and without all the goodies If I can commit to 50 then I can put something together otherwise I will just wait for the regular release any other ideas that would make this a cool package |

If this actually happens, I want # 13 . Need I explain?
But, I've got about 50 of BDM's Magazines already. That's a lifetime supply. OK, so I'll have 53. Any chance Kevin could do them as the ARFCOM Mags he's done. This is a fully legal, over the counter, no registration or $200.00 fee upper, Right? I hope this is a lucky post number, 999.. SO-13 |
|
i would be in. dont know if i would want ar15.com on the side but whatever. these can be shot without the supressor in place right?
would it be the one pictured above with the rail for $600? i was just getting ready to pull the trigger on a spikes upper but will hold of for now if this deal goes thru. can i get number 37? |

Any 22 can that is 1 inch OD and 5+ inches length will work, so I would say yes your Element will work. |

ok sounds like I need to come up with some hand guard options
the Vtac hand guard are expensive no way to use that and keep it under 600 the yhm black diamond would look real cool and a lot less |
|
The YHM Black Diamond looks great. YHM also makes an A-3 F/T Upper Receiver-YHM-110.
http://yankeehillmachine.com/store/product369.html Plug the forward assist, trap door to cover the bolt.. A charging handle with a Badger Ordinance Gen II Tactical Latch would be Cool. A barrel shroud to match the Black Diamond? IMO, the ARFCOM Logo's fine but that's enough, without any wording. Agree? Where would the logo and serial # go? No sight or gas block will help keep the cost down. Just stray thoughts, SpecOps-13 |
|
Sub $600 with the YHM Diamond would be right up my alley.
Prefer minimal markings. |
|
Thanx for finding and reviving this.... Come on guys. TacSol's SBX has proven accuracy and I want to see how it will compare with the Lothar Walther from Spike's. The LW's screaming for some competition.

I would definitely be interested in this if it happens. You can add another to your list.
and like they said before, I think the YHM black diamond would be pretty sweet. |
|
I'm interested but I can't give a 100% confirmation.
Waiting on more information and a build up of $$$ |

i was going on the assumption that we were dealing directly with Tactical Solutions in this post. I was wondering why there was so little interest being generated? Think that I missed something here as this appears to be a Dealer in Texas, not TacSol in Idaho. Think I'll write TacSol directly later, for more info.
Added 9/17/2009: I'm going to bounce this post in hope that it will generate more interest. I've been in contact with TacSol and this is in the planning stages right now. It Is For Real The poster is working directly with the factory on this project. Now I'm really hyped for this to happen. This should be an extremely accurate setup. Possibly competition for Spike's Lothar Walther??? It May Be.......... SpecOps-13 |

Bounce with Updated Info. Read my last post update, Added: 9/17/2009 for more detail.

Could be interested if you guys manage to nail down all the details.
16" bbl (threaded) so no tax stamp, nothing permanently welded to it, right? 3 magazines included (how many rounds, I can't legally buy bigger than 20 rd, here -bah) If we are looking at reliable uppers that are about as accurate as the upgraded Spike's for under 600 shipped, I think that sounds like a hell of a deal! |
|
The YHM rail will probably put it over 600.00
I am working on the details with Tac Sol for the SBX upper. We are looking at having the barrel installed with a YHM barrel nut so that you can use any YHM rail. We are also looking at having the pattern on the Sbx barrel shroud changed to match the YHM Diamond rails pattern. This way you can change the rail if you like. I am not Tac Sol. I am Jim King with Gunkings We are a Sponsor here on AR15 and one of the larger Tac Sol Dealers We sell lots of thier uppers for several reasons 1 we are cheaper than buying direct 2 we offer free shipping on Tac Sol uppers 3 our lead times are much shorter (we have Lt and m4 in Stock now) Tac Sol staff are very good people and stand behind their product. You can buy from us or buy direct whatever is best for you. This product is very new and still in discussion stage Once we get something something nailed down on the rail and a prototype built we can get some group pricing started I don't know if we have enough interest for a group buy. I don't think Tac Sol will do a group buy themselves. They have a very large dealer network to support and will not want to undercut the retail price. As an independent dealer I can get a bulk buy from them and sell for whatever I want. that's why I started the thread for a group buy. here is a pioc with Hogue I will post pics with the YHM on Monday sbx upper |

My only concern with the diamond pattern on the extension would be cleaning/maintenance. For use with suppressor it would not be as bad but for use without any attachments the .22 mess on it would be a royal PITA in that diamond pattern.

jjKing,
Once you have a firm price you could email me. I am interested. Spud47 |

Will Black Dog magazines for Ceiner conversion kits work with this upper?
And thanks jjking for putting this together! |
|
Sounds like a pretty good group buy..would it be possible to post better pictures of the Hogue set up? It's probably me, but I have trouble seeing the black gun on a dark background...
Thanks & yes, I'm definately interested! |
