This investment wasn't cheap. but I figure the ongoing low cost of ammo will save me money in the long run.

This is a RRA lower registered as a SBR with a KKF upper that has a 5" 1/16 twist barrel under a generic FF handguard.  The barrel is threaded 1/2 x 28.

In this pic, I have a 9mm 3-lug suppressor attached utilizing a TROS 3-lug adapter.  I now have a Tactical Innovations Tac-16 on her, but when I took the picture, the new can was still pending transfer.

The other suppressor is there to give you a feel for barrel length with the 3-lug adapter.

Costs:

RRA lower, complete with CAR stock $180
SBR tax stamp and cost of engraving $235
KKF dedicated .22 upper plus Ceiner kit with 3x30rd mags $725
Tac-16 $350
Suppressor tax stamp $200
New old stock Aimpoint Comp M $310

Total cost $2,000, but it is whisper quiet, reliable, accurate and FUN as hell!

Here's mine. Lower is a DPMS dedicated upper. Upper one is my semi-retro clone, which usually has a M261 .22 conversion in it but just happens to have an old-school chrome bolt in it in this pic.

Yes. That's what this forum is about. There is another forum in the Arms & Tactics section for all other .22s.

Is there a such thing as cheap decent capactiy mags for a .22 AR system?  It is one of the reasons I haven't got one yet.  Any ideas?  60-70 dollar mags don't do anything for me.

Loving it  17 total...purchased 15 and Kevin at Blackdog threw in 2 for free.  Had it at the range today and worked flawlessly.  Load a mag and blow out a 10 ring (25yrds).  Lots of fun.  Enjoy yours.

Thanks man,

I am looking to start a build exactly like that (well not F/A) and Those sights are perfect... has the Oly upper treated you well?

Thank You,
GMB

For anyone that uses a suppressor on a 16" .22LR upper, what ammo (if any) do you run that stays subsonic?  The kits I've looked at all give recommendations on what type of ammo to use, and they never list subsonic.  Do standard velocity rounds, like CCI, stay subsonic out of a 16" barrel?  I'm specifically looking at buying a Kuehl upper with a Ceiner kit.  Thanks.

Its not an OLY upper, just an OLY lower.  That upper is CMT.  One of the big problems with FA lowers made 20-something years ago is they can often be slightly out of spec.  Mine isnt bad, but some uppers fit really tight.

If you are asking that about Davidp14's shooter, then yes it has a sear pin.  It is a m16 conversion on a PWA (?) receiver.
