Did you have to make any modifications to the rail so the piston would fit under it? What is the model number on the mi ff rail you used? I am looking to get the osprey piston kit and would like a ff rail. Your setup is exactly what I am looking to do with mine. When you ordered your osprey kit did you have to order the modified op rod?

Hey Kostman, i didnt have to make any mods, osprey lists this handguard on their site as one that will work with the system as well as the samson i think. the free float rail is this one:

I got the carbine length fail zero kit and a mid length hand guard so it would tuck under the hand guard, also had the gas block pinned to make sure it wouldn't move. No op rod mod needed.

Perhaps he wanted an HK416 clone lower without paying in to the MR556, which would, in the end, still not be marked "HK416."

Some people like having clones, not everyone finishes 80% lowers solely to have an "untraceable" lower, they just want a clone with markings they could not otherwise get from the factory.

Why did you choose the PRS stock given the rifles configuration? It just doesn't make sense to me. I'm not knocking it but I wouldn't run that stock on that particular setup but if it works more power to you.
