The KISS reticle features a large chevron that grabs your eye instantly, yet provides an infinitely small aiming point without obscuring your target. For shooters looking for a close to medium range reticle that presents a smart sight picture instantly, the KISS reticle delivers ultimate speed with no unnecessary baggage. It’s a laser etched reticle so it works fine with illumination off, but when you twist the knob to one of the 11 brightness settings, the chevron turns red as shown, powered by a standard CR2032 battery. Illumination is daylight bright at the highest settings.





The Gen III 1-6x24 is a second focal plane scope, so the KISS reticle will stay the same size regardless of what magnification the optic is set to. Because this is a simple reticle without bullet drop compensation, range estimation, or other advanced features, it is not caliber specific.  The Gen III scope body features a quick adjust ocular to keep the reticle sharp at all times, 0.5 MOA clicks with finger-adjustable resettable zero turrets, and a 30mm main tube size.

It's not a ranging reticle, so the unit of measure doesn't matter as much as if you were trying to measure something in Mils and then translate that to adjustment clicks with a target turret. This is more a set-it-and-forget-it setup where you are going to sight in with your point of impact on the tip of the chevron at your desired range, then put the turret caps back on and go shoot.

If you're shooting at enough of a distance where bullet drop matters, that's when we point folks towards the patented ACSS reticle available in this same scope body, but even then, that's a BDC set up where you zero at 100 yards, put the turret caps on, and use the reticle for ranging and engaging.

Matching up angular systems matters most in long range shooting where you need to count clicks quickly and correctly without having to do a conversion on the fly. For those applications, PA prefers a Mil/Mil system and you'll see that we utilize that in our 4-14x44FFP series for example.
