Any plans for a QD mount in the future?

That looks pretty cool. Might have to put that on my next build.

I like the looks of this mount.  Two questions: how strong is the connection on the upper part of the rings?
Can we get a photo of it mounted on an upper with a scope in it?
Thanks

I know that a QD version will likely increase the weight, but I'd buy a QD version if you could keep it lighter than the rest of the QD versions and still maintain comparable return to zero

How's about some additional info like weight, material used, type and size of mounting screws, etc.?  Also. does it have some sort of see through capability or are those merely recesses to save weight?

Holy crap, only 3 ounces? I think I will have to pick one of these up when I get my 1-6x.

Finally someone who makes a lightweight non-qd mount for my lightweight build

Will have to pick one up

I received my mount yesterday, mounted it today.  The pictures don't do it justice.  This is a very nice mount, the machining is quite good, finish perfect. Makes the Burris mount I had before look like a boat anchor.

How would this hold up to the recoil of say... a .338 Lapua bolt gun? Bad idea?

As soon as the 30mm is available, I will be ordering.  I have been waiting for something like this for quite a while.

How high is the centerline of the optic above the rail on the 30mm model?

I'd like to know height of scope centerline over bore and when you'll have the 30mm's in stock?
Thanks!

I can't answer that, as I don't have anything that big. I will see if I can talk the boss into letting me use his personal .338 Lapua for testing.

I will be running the 30mm on my AR10 for the rest of the year though.

I'll gladly volunteer to run one on my VEPR 12 for T&E purposes if you'd like

I picked up one for my .204. I love how light it is and how well it is built. Extremely nice and well worth the price (which is very good IMO).

I will definently be picking up another one for my next rifle build. Keep up the quality work Aero, have been very happy with the products I have purchased from you.

(plus a big thumbs up for a west coats manufacturer).

Does this have a recoil lug on the base (you don't have any pictures of the underside) that sits in a slot on the upper receiver?

My eyes may be deceiving me, but would we need a cheek riser to get a proper cheek weld with this mount or no?  I'd be using a standard Burris MTAC 1-4x.  Thank you.

1.5" above the rail is a fairly standard height, so no.

I'm considering one of these mounts for a vortex pst 1-4x I just purchased. Should this mount offer enough forward offset for this type of scope? I see many people using them with 2 inch offset mounts such as the burris pepr and this being my first 1-4x scope I'm not sure what is necessary.

The last picture appears to be an illusion on your website. It seems the front mount is not in alignment with the rest of the mount. Can you comment on the manufacturing procedure and the alignment/concentricity of the mount?

I got one of the 30mm mounts.  Looks excellent, super lightweight.

Would love to see an extended length version though!

The picture you are referring to looks to me like the picture was taken at a slight angle and not an alignment issue.

Hence the comment in bold. Still looking for comments on the manufacturing process and how they ensure precise alignment.

I like mine alot.  Quality and workmanship seem good, fits nicely on the rail and holds the scope firmly.

I Ordered a 30mm unit hoping that I can get a 1-6 Primary Arms scope when they become available.    I wish you would consider making a mount that would be lower to the rifle.  I have a Faxon Firearms .300 Blkout and the top of the rail is a tad higher than my other rifles.    LaRue sells some low rings but they get a fortune for them.    Thanks for your consideration on making a lower mount...maybe I am the only one on the planet that wants such a thing?
