  We started to wear out the Gen 2 follower mold, so we took the opportunity to do some minor updates to the design. Gen 3 followers will be an inline change and will replace all Gen 2 followers shipping from now on. Gen 2 followers are still good to use. Building a new mold also allowed us to use a new material that we really like. It is much more slippery than the Gen 2 material and is used as the follower material in guns like the FNP90. The material costs the same as the old material but mold substantially quicker and cleaner. This means lower cost to manufacture. As a result the price for Magpul Followers will drop from $6.95 to $5.95 per 3pack. New colors will be Foliage Green (subdued) and a Golden Yellow (bright). |

are there any new followers for the 6.8 spc. the ones you have out now are too small for the steel PRI mag bodies. the front end dips down slightly. I talked to PRI and they said that you are working on a new one. What is the time frame.

Yes there is a trade in program. You can send in your old Gen 2s and for every three Magpul will sell you three new Gen 3s for $5.95. j/k, I have no idea, but it seems a little ridiculous to be asking about a trade in program when there is nothing wrong with the Gen 2s. |

Same for me, UPS is ripping here. Buying 12 followers is $23.80, shipping is $8.24. Thats about 30% of the total cost. USPS could ship priority for like $4. I will have to wait until I find someone who will ship at a fair price.

I have both Gen I and Gen II followers on my mags and I have had absolutely no reliability issues with my old USGI magazines; the followers were the best thing that ever happened to the M16 magazine.
