They look nice. Much more "refined" than he original (which I love).
Any opinion on how sturdy the battery compartment door is?? It looks well-built (thick gasket), but I haven't dropped it yet. CAA (IIRC) had a similar compartment on their stock and it felt kind of "flimsy" when I looked at it. ho |
Personally, not a fan of the battery storage, ruins the stock imo.

Paul, have ya got these in stock yet? FDE and Black... I need's me two
I really like that integrated buttpad. Much more elegant than the slip on.
Looks like the price point is direct competition for the CTR with optional buttpad. Gotta love capitalism. More and better choices and continual improvements. |
Damn. This puts me in a quandry since I was waiting for the magpul UBR stock but this one has everything I've been waiting for. It has the storage compartments, the strike plate and is in the colors I wanted.
I'm going to have to see what people are selling this for on the EE. In the short term I think this stock is going to cut into the amount of customers magpul was hoping to get with their UBR. |
Looks VERY sturdy. And if I am looking at it right the door could be easily replaced, but I wouldn't even worry about it. Like all Vltor stuff, it's built to go to war with. |

It currently just comes as a stock assembly (ie: stock only). Ready to drop onto our exsisting receiver extention (buffer tube). Milspec version and commercial version (coming soon). If you need the complete kit (receiver extention, lock ring, end plate, action spring, buffer) most dealers have those separately. We have Mil-Spec stock hardward kits for $55.95 (6 position receiver extention, action spring, buffer, end plate, lock ring/castle nut) |

I agree. I had one of the original clubfoot stocks and hated it. Both in function, and in looks. I have the "standard" stock on one of my other carbines and I love it. I may have to pick up one of the E-MOD's because I like the functionality that it offers, aswell as the look. The buttpad and strikeplate are perfect.

Wow, that's a great price for these stocks, I was expecting it to be priced about the same as the LMT stock!
I like it. It appears to be a great alternative to the LMT stock.

I SHOT WITH THE VLTOR EMOD FOR THE FIRST TIME YESTERDAY, OFF THE BENCH.
IT'S A VERY WELL THOUGHT OUT DESIGN, BOTH FOR PRECISION APPLICATION AS WELL AS WITH BODY ARMOR. PIX SOON. WES GRANT MSTN.BIZ |

I just got a second Clubfoot VLTOR. Wish i had known this was comming out!
I think it'll look great on the AR10, because of its larger size, a standard M4 stock looks kind of out of place and disproportionate, while an LMT SOPMOD stock looks perfectly at home.
I like this stock a million times more than previous designs.
Matter of fact, I NEVER, EVER, considered a Vltor stock until now. |
yeah, might get this instead of LMT... |
The price is reason enough, but I never really liked the LMT sopmod. Way over-priced! |

MM,
Do you find that the stock stays put over gear? The original vltor was great if I got the toe of the stock inbetween my neck and my shoulder strap on my CIRAS ... but for quick mounting it wasn't there and would slip. The LMT is better, but wasn't quite shaped right. Is the metal on the bottom of the stock a strike plate or is that some other feature I'm missing? Doc |
doc,
it's going to depend on your gear. i found the E-MOD too long, like the crane (for me) to use with a vest with plates for shooting with a squared-up stance and putting the butt on the plate. i have to put it to the side of the plate and roll my shoulder forward. the rubber butt pad keeps it pretty secure. when wearing rigs, i've found that the original vltor modstock standard model (not clubfoot) works best for me for thick armour as i run it all the way closed, and like you, i can hook the toe between my neck and the rig. can't do that as easily with a clubfoot. yes, the rubber butt pad is overmolded on an aluminum strike plate. when using a chest rig without plates, the E-MOD works fine. |
I GUESS HOW THE STOCK FITS DEPENDS A LOT ON NOT JUST YOUR GEAR, BUT ALSO YOUR MK 1 MOD 0 ISSUE BODY.
YOU'VE GOT TO REMEMBER THAT ERIC OF VLTOR IS JUST SHY OF SEVEN FEET TALL. I MIGHT NOT WANT ERIC DECIDING ON COUNTER HEIGHT IN MY KITCHEN, BUT HE'S PRETTY DARN GOOD AT STOCKS IN SPITE OF HIS 99-PERCENTILE HEIGHT. THE E-MOD ANGLED RUBBER BUTTPLATE GETS A GREAT BITE ON MY EAGLE PLATE CARRIER. BIG CONTACT PATCH. THE ANGLED BUTT GIVES NOTICEABLY MORE CONTACT THAN THE SOPMOD DOES. I'M RUNNING THE E-MOD STOCK ONE NOTCH OUT OF FULLY CLOSED WITH BODY ARMOR. BUT WITH A SCOPE AND NO GEAR, I RUN THE E-MOD ONE NOTCH SHY OF FULLY EXTENDED. THIS IS A SUPERIOR STOCK, INDEED, TO USE WITH A SCOPED RIG. WES |
Paul, what does this weigh?
To compare, SOPMOD is 10.9 ozs, and the regular Vltor is 7.7 ozs without the pad. |
I'm not normally a gear queer but this has me excited.
It may have just replaced the Magpul CTR as the stock to use for a build. |
I will check when we get more in. Should be soon. Thanks! |
I think dealers (us included) only received a very small initial shipment. Larger qtys should be shipping in July. Thanks! |

MY SCALE SAYS 13.6 OUNCES. WES |

Thanks Wes. |

How tight is the lockup compared to, say, a Magpul CTR? Does it wobble at all, or is it really stable?
I'll get one from ya Wes to play with, I'm gonna try to put the release lever from a standard carbine stock on it to replace the butterfly release on the club foot stock
ETA: Wes, black please |
NO PROBLEM. JUST LET ME KNOW WHAT COLOR YOU'D LIKE. GOOD SHOOTING, WES |
They have a fitting to mount one, but do not come with the swivel. |
