Will their be a list of compatible rails? Or more specifically, will it be compatible with the BCM KMR rail?
|
|
Looks to be the most rail "friendly" retro fit system to date, sure looks promising. I'm interested to see whats going on inside that gas block, mainly if there is a return spring for the op rod that is subject to the heat from the gas.

What the diameter difference in those two rails? View Quote The Seekins/Rainier/Spikes is ~1.5" ID. The Vltor clamp on gas block fits under a KMR 15. It is 0.600" below the barrel centerline and 0.880" above the barrel centerline. It fits with plenty of room up top. There might be enough room on the KMR to accommodate the extra 0.106" hight of the Syrac gasblock, as compared to the Vltor. |

If y'all would do me the honor of sending me one for testing I'd be happy to tell you if it's compatible with the KMR and do a write-up :)

Looks good.. I was thinking of removing my Adams Arms kit and switching it back to a DI gun, but this may just replace the Adams Arms.

Thank you. The great thing is you can fine tune any barrel length and gas configuration. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

Very neat. I see using this to finely tune a SBR. Thank you. The great thing is you can fine tune any barrel length and gas configuration. No doubt. I'm just envisioning a very smooth shooting and relatively clean 10.3" rifle. |

I was considering an Adams arms kit, since my roommate swears by them (24" 6.5grendel build and a colt m4gery), but the kit wouldn't be compatible with the rails I was looking at. I decided on the Force rail and stumbled upon this thread same day. So with this, my frankenbuild is moving forward.

Approximately when will the solid set screw version be available?

Any chance of a Left handed bolt carrier?

I am currently using an RIS ii 12'' non fsb. guess I'm sticking with DI. maybe sometime in the future when I finally get around to finishing my next rifle I will use a different rail. Been looking into the piston setups for a while but haven't found one to work with my DD rail. looks like a much more usable system than AA's new piston system that actually does not work with most rails like they originally claimed.

Is there going to be a retro gas key available in a kit anytime?

Any chance you will bring out a 308 version? or possibly a railed gas block version?

We are machining the carriers now. Then the carriers need to go to heattreat, then Ion Bond. We are working to have them on the site for preorders by the end of Nov. We will announce when they are on our site for preorder in the New Products forum. As for a gas block with a rail, it depends on market interest. A large percentage of the market are running handguards over there block. How many ARCOMers want a gas block with a rail? |

Why was the print with gas block profile deleted?
I cannot check if it fits my handguard |

Or even better would be a permanent folding sight block to use with the piston set for those who use rails with sections cut for the fsp. I currently use a DD lite rail 9.5"fsb with the A.R.M.S folding sight block and love the setup. |

I do want a railed system .

No. We will only offer the kit with one piece carriers. The pressed on pin design fails. The only non-one piece carrier that holds up is the dovetail style like LWRC used to offer. View Quote View All Quotes View All Quotes Quoted:

I have to research an patent that may have claim to it (more than likely Stag). If there is a patent I will work on negotiating an agreement. If not I will make some. Be patient. If there is a need to make an agreement it could take some time. With my experience those things do not happen overnight. I will announce any further updates, or you can email me for updates periodically. My email is [email protected]. |

Same question, what does the listed weight include? As listed, if its the entire system, thats lighter than your ultra-light adjustable block plus SA BCG with gas tube.
If those numbers are the entire system, this may go on my current lightweight build, which coincidentally is just waiting until christmas for a BCG and gas block to be complete. |

Smart design Jason. Long time I have been waiting to see this. Well done.

What does the weight include? It includes all the parts you need to install on your rifle: Gas Block, Spring, Piston Rod, Gas Plug, and Carrier. Nice. This is really tempting. Just 3.5oz and ~$60 away from my DI system (SLR Sentry 7, 1oz buffer, AA Low mass carrier, .308 suppressor) I used to have the Adams Arms XLP system. I scrapped it for the weight. the 5 position adjustment made me run a standard buffer. With this, I can run the 1oz buffer I have now due to more adjustments. An optional carrier strike face or low mass carrier would sell me, but I will think about it for now :) You guys should make a video! |

I too have dumped my AA XLP kit. It was a pain to make it compatible with a my MI rail. I worry about how long it would keep running before issues with the rod bushing.
Main reasons for switching over to this: 1. Compatibility! SO has a superior design. 2. WEIGHT. the AA XLP kit is heavy as shit. 3. 16 pos vs 5 pos. I tried the xlp on two of my rifles. One had to run wide open. Recoil was increased over my SO adjustable gas block. 4. Price. Jason, I already pre ordered as one of the first 100. I want to upgrade to NIB!!! PM me for my email! Also, is there a light weight carrier option? This will go on my santan upper and lower, i will post pics once I verify it is reliable. Thanks! |
