Thinking about picking one up.

Do you like it?
Does it hold zero?
How is the mount?
Worth buying?

APEX had some and they have been spoken of highly.  Several members here have at least one.

Cockatoo and Mars_Attacks come to mind right offhand...

I have one, the field of view is wider than that of the regular 3x20 colt scope, so I sold my colt scope.

I plan to get another for a .22LR build, I like it it is built like a tank

LOVE mine. It's on an Izzy carbine clone. Dial up to the 350 yard setting and it's spot on at 100 yards when I have the Ciener unit in it. Got it from APEX.

The first one I got was  clear glass, but beat-up on the outside.

I didn't care about the looks, but the horizontal adjustment didn't hold it's position and lost its' "clicks".
The Apex folks replaced it with a better one that I haven't had a chance to shoot yet. I'd buy from them again based on their customer service..which pleasantly surprised me.

Thanks

Yep, it is Apex selling the scope and they have plenty of them.
Call me selfish, but I wanted to make sure they had a good quantity on hand before I named them, lest they get sold out in 15 minutes before I even heard any reviews.
Looks like I will have to pick one to go on my late 603 build...then an NDS-16A1 for Christmas.

I just followed my own link and ordered one as well. When these first popped up someone posted pics of the reticle, but I couldn't find them searching.

the reticle is like the GERMAN style (Duplex, with the THICK TOP line being replaced with a thin one continuing from the crosshairs upward), if that made any sense

Do you guys get a decent cheekweld, or is it more of a chinweld?

Its a chinweld, BUT if you get the Cherokee CAR stock cheek piece it will be just perfect for the IDF clone

Doctor: "I have good news and bad news"

Patient: "Give me the bad news first"

Doctor: "You have cancer"

Patient: "Damn!  That's terrible!  What's the good news?"

Doctor: "You have Alzheimer's"

Patient: "Well, I suppose it could be worse, I could have cancer!"

Received mine today from APEX. I wish I'd ordered two. External condition is as I expected. Just like all the others pictured. The optics are extremely clear. I'm very pleased. I still get good cheek weld as well.

My scope came in today.
Very solid.
I'll try to get a range report in soon - supposed to go shooting on a friend's farm this week.

ETA: Well shit.
I think I fucked my scope up.
The reticle was all crisp and clear before, and now it is fuzzy, like it is out of focus.
Can anyone help?

ETA2: Nevermind, I think I was tired and my eyes were out of focus.
Everything is crisp and clear again.

Thought I would share my experience with Apex.

I purchased one of the Israeli 3x21 scopes from Apex.  Finish was as expected. In fact I actually received one of the three scopes pictured in the pics on their website and Gunbroker.  I got the one with the least amount of finish left.

The scope is as everyone else has stated. Built like a tank, solid and super crisp.
It has a duplex reticle. Mine has a factory engraved serial number and no other markings, aside from the range markings on the BDC.

These were such nice scopes that I picked up another one just 2 weeks later.  This second scope had nearly 90% finish intact with Hebrew markings.  This second scope seemed newer than the first. It also had some problems that I tried to address.

I finally emailed Apex after 24hrs. and then called a couple days later. A week passed with no response. Over a 2 week period I emailed twice and called 3 times leaving a polite message about the scopes issues and a desire to exchange the scope for another.

Apex never returned email or calls.  IMHO their customer service was nill.

At any rate the scopes are awesome quality if you get a good one.  Another website has them listed as EL-OP EYA1 scopes.  They are arsenal refinished and they're asking $300 for them !  I wish I could dig up some info on calibrating them.  I heard they may also be made by Beeman. I haven't  range tested yet.

Hal

ETA:  If anyone knows what the locking lever device is called or who sells them, I would love to know.

Just got mine in.  Finish is rough (as expected), but the optics are crisp.  I am very impressed with the scope for the price.
