Adjusting the KAK Shockwave Brace with the Allen wrench is inconvenient.
I found this screw at Lowe's. It work very well (1.25 inch long). Will I get in trouble with the ATF if I make this simple modification?
Thanks,
Cal

There's nothing illegal about it

You will go to jail forever per the other threads on same page about this.
If that screw makes you shoulder and call the brace a stock it's not the ATF you need to worry about
Short answer no
ETA get some plasti dip for it. Works great.

Does it work well with the flat end? The stock screw is pointed to nest in the buffer tube.

5/16 - 18 x 1.5 inch
1.25 inch appears to me the perfect length, but Lowe's does not have it.
I ended up buying the 1.5 inch and cut off about .25 inch.

Check online before hitting store. My Home Depot didn't have anything so I just used a wing nut and built my own.

Home Depot did not have anything I could use, Lowe's did however, Found several styles in their Specialty Hardware section, The area where they have the pull out drawers.

I did this to mine. Ground a small notch in the brace to make it fit flush.
The threaded knob was found at Best Hardware. I cut the threaded portion to length, and ground a decent point on it.
